I found so many great bands when I lived out there, aided by a local and national radio network that was happy to play a lot of alternative stuff. Favourite aussie band probably The Living End, but favourite track right now...
It's tough, mate. I said 'never again' after my faithful hound was put down. We now have a, to be quite frank, shit of a cat who has an overwhelming advantage over me in my wife's affections, and an adoring dog with comedic burping ability
The two things we don't know, are what's in Varane's contract over approaches from other clubs, and how keen he is on leaving. I hope he stays, there's a really good player in there, and it's not far from the surface. I wouldn't swap him for Jobe Bellingham.
I would love to know the truth of it. Both parties clearly wanted rid of each other. Did Nourry put Marti on gardening leave in order to actively pursue another manager, knowing that Marti would leave in his own time? Could they not agree an equitable agreement, and we didn't want to pay him off outright, believing he'll leave on his own volition? Or is it more malicious? Certainly we couldn't do a summers player recruitment with Marti at the helm, knowing he was looking for an out. You'd hope we have someone lined up, seeing how obvious this all was, although if we did talk to another manager while he's still under contract, presumably we'd put Nourry on gardening leave as well. While they're at it, they can dig a big hole and stick Richards in it.
Well, I've complained bitterly in the past that without a good development team, we have no strong foundations. We appear to be getting foundations, albeit we had to rip the walls and roof down first. I'm lost in my own metaphor, or whatever it was, now. I suppose it's like, say, baking a cake, right. No! Hang on! When you start a garden..err...well...there's acorns, and it doesn't all come up smelling of roses, you know.
Monday. TT over here. Police pull a biker over, he escapes their clutches, overtook me through Kirk Michael (for those who know the course) at 100mph, road busy, narrow, 2 way traffic, parked cars etc. Got just outside the village, clipped a van, went into the bank. I was 3rd car there, police with him, I didn't look, figured he'd had it. In court on wednesday, sustained 'minor injuries'. Lucky, lucky bastard. Thankfully.
I've always stated my preference for Marti over Nourry, if given the option. But it's not a dichotomy to think that Nourry is not experienced enough to he holding the roles he is and that Marti leaking inside information about the club through a third party can both be damaging to the club, accepting that Cifuentes is probably tied to a NDA. I'm not giving Lassel shit, I just want to know the truth. Turns out I'm just McCarthy's sock puppet anyway! 😄
Lassel, you spent last season repeating things that MC told your wife to this forum. I don't think that he wouldn't know that that was happening, so it was either a power-play by him or him manoeuvring himself out of Rangers. If he didn't know about it, then you were betraying his confidences. Nourry and the rest of the club executives would certainly have known about this leak, which could only have raised tensions. If I remember rightly, and another forum user reminded me of this, at one stage you posted that MC didn't like the players - if I'm wrong there, please accept my apologies. The players would have known this. I wont deny that its been fascinating as a supporter to have read your posts through the season, if not necessarily helpful to QPR, dependant on your/Marti's motives. Would you care to comment any further on this?
That's because you framed the question in a leading manner. When I did a follow up questionnaire, in my head, with more neutral terming of the question, I factualised that I was overwhelmingly more popular then you. And that's factwang.
