Brilliant, if somewhat depressing read. I walked out, with many others before half time in discust, and still didn't walk through my front door until gone 10.30 Saturday night three sheets to the wind.
At this moment in time, I have absolutely no enthusiasm to get my backside out of bed on Saturday before 8 o'clock for the Charlton game, but no doubt come friday afternoon I'll book my train and come up, cause it's what we do innit.
As someone said further up, I was also at the West Brom 7-1, but this just feels a lot worse.

First game was a 1-1 draw v Rotherham in 1981. Today is the first time I've ever left a game before half time. Almost back in London, and then another 90 odd minutes before I get home to Littlehampton. To say I'm pissed off is another question |

My dad being from north London and coming from an Arsenal supporting family used to take me and my older brother to Highbury late 70's/early 80's, but I just never felt it.
Then one day out of the blue in 81, he took me to Loftus Road. We drew 1-1 with Rotherham and I was hooked.
My brother though is still a big Arsenal fan, and was a season ticket holder for years up until he moved to Colorado about six years ago |

I got the central line back to victoria after the game. Roasting hot, filthy, and absolutely rammed. There were a group of Japanese tourists next to me, and I did wonder what they must have thought of our dilapidated tube system 🤔 |
