In training sideways and back passes should be banned. Surely would result in a much better team. Swansea also lack movement when midfielders are looking for forward passing opportunities. I believe tactics and coaching are more important than the transfer market right now.
I always thought Humpreys was a great looking player and could never understand why his appearances started to dwindle. I have never seen him beaten for pace when defending and he also showed great attacking potential. Another talent lost to stodgy coaching in my opinion.
If Swansea have intentions of trying to keep Lowe, a good move would be to put him in the starting line up, which they failed to do at Norwich. Surprising as he was the catalyst for the win at Huddersfield. In my opinion, not once has Williams started with the best available players.
Rather than a major rebuild, maybe Williams needs to have a re-think about strategy and coaching.
The last 20 mins against Huddersfield were fantastic. It was as though the players were freed of the shackles of a forced coaching strategy and instead played freely and reacted to the opportunities in front of them.
Yep. Had another look. Goalkeeper was on his line when the ball was struck. Not the usual scenario for a chip. The second he hit the ball he knew it was in. Brilliant work between Patterson and Patino.
Have you seen the goal? Coolest finish all season by far. Does play for England U21. Will very probably sign for Fulham. This year. Don't have to wait a zillion.
So agree, some of the rubbish you get to read on here is mind-blowing.
Home result was 1-1, with probably the highest quality goal Swansea have scored all season courtesy of Charlie Patino. Duff then gets sacked and Patino is rewarded by being sidelined by the new manager. Good enough for England U21, Juventus and Fulham but not this Swansea manager presiding over lacklustre attacking play.
