I've lost 2 stone in 3 months. I've learned while exercise is important what you put in your body is more important. Imo diets don't work as most can't sustain them. It's just eating better and making it a way of life.
1) Eat chocolate and crisps very rarely. If I do now I buy the 90% chocolate and the lentil crisps which are lower calories. 2). Don't drink coke anymore which I did everyday. Don't even miss it 3) I eat more salad, veg, lean meats like chicken and turkey.. Hardly eat anything good before. Was alot of processed stuff. 4). Cooking from scratch where possible is much better. 5) Try books in the Mediterranean diet. It more a lifestyle choice than a diet. 6) I try to walk 10k steps a day. My job is quite active so might not be easy for others. 7). Eat more fish. salmon and cod without the skin is excellent for you. Also tuna 8). Drink 2 litres of water a day. Also buy wholemeal where possible. Pasta , bread etc. Much better for you and less calories
I also still drink on weekends. I drink Guinness and red wine most Fridays and Saturdays and been still able to lose mainly because I'm eating better.
Theres an app called Nutracheck which is brilliant. Shows you how calories work and how much is in certain foods. Now I understand calories I hardly order a takeaway anymore.Really opens your eyes as to how much rubbish we put in our bodies.
Anyway might not be for everyone but Imo eating better and not denying yourself stuff you like now and again works better than restricted diets which mostly cause you to fail.
Do you think we will ever again be able to hold our own against the best like we have done in the past?
The gap between the championship and premier league looks to be getting wider. I know Nottingham Forest have been excellent since they went back up but looking at other teams like Southampton it looks massive.
Can we ever catch up to Brentford and Fulham in the near future? Can't believe Im typing that after the grief I used to give to their fans in the 90's.
What do you think needs to change to get us moving forward?
Or like a Luton fan I know he's happier to stay in the lower leagues. Is there anyone that subscribes to that?
When my parents came over from Ireland the first place they stayed was Shepherd's Bush. Born and bred west London around Kilburn. All my friends I grew up with were QPR fans. My dad supported Celtic but always had a soft spot for QPR. Always told me if I supported a London team it had to be QPR. If it was Chelsea he would kick me out of the house. One of my older mates was a huge ranges fan. Took .e to my first game in 91 when I was 12. Wegerle scored in a 1-1 draw with Coventry. I was sold. The crowd, the kit, the stadium.
I love that we are not like all the others. Our fans are not plastic and most genuinely have a connection with the club.
I just watch the episodes and never learn the names of them. One episode they used the old Labour club in the harrow road which my auntie and uncle (rip) used to govern. Was only a kid at the time but went down very excited. Met a few of the cast. Only vaguely do i remember but at the time it was like meeting the queen. It was always on in my house in my early years.
My other team is Celtic so watched him on his loan. Thought he was very dependable and put in a couple of decent shifts against better opposition in Europe. Would be an upgrade on what we have but like someone else said his wages would be an issue.
