 | Forum Reply | Are we likely to lose any of our better players to Leicester now ??? at 12:31 16 Jul 2025
Looking at the gigantic dark cloud circling around the King Power, fans need to understand that Marti wouldn't have got the gig if Leceister weren't in big trouble. They're going to be selling a lot of players and staring down the barrel of a 12pt deduction, they've looked at managers out of work on the cheap who have a proven success of keeping a thin squad in the division and Marti ticks that box. The board will not want to do a Luton hence the gamble on Marti. |

Varane was picked up in the lower segunda division and he’s done well so I agree. I was more referring to Julien’s past experience with Rennes and Strasbourg where he would’ve had an eye on the talent in both Ligue 1&2 |

We need to give Kelman a decent chance, especially with the quality of delivery available - Poku, Dembele, Vale, Chair. I’m sure Julien will be passing on some notes to Nourry on players to look at in the French leagues. |

The player we signed in Jan but didn’t register him in time, so could only announce him in June - Hoos must’ve overseen that one. |

I would say Julien would’ve asked them to operate at 75% - no more injuries trying out a few new players in different positions. I would not put Ainsworth and Julien’s coaching record in the same basket. [Post edited 12 Jul 11:03]

It’s a preseason friendly with none of the usual 11 starting altogether. Rather the new manager tries out things now than wasting the first 10 games of the season. Some on here are already screaming for the manager to go… we are bizarre fan base at times |

Preseason friendly and it’s causing a large majority of supporters on here to have a breakdown |

Damage done in the first half, two weeks in a row that we've allowed a horrible team to bully us on the pitch |

Needs to be done, Lloyd with a better touch and he buries Saito's first cross attempt |

Millwall are rattled, need to get something from all this pressure. |

Hook him off, touch is poor today and no pace to pass their freak of a defender. He's about to lose his head as the ref is giving him nothing |

Need Frey on with some strength up top, we're being outmuscled with our out ball |

Luton can sign as many players as they like, they're still staring down the barrel of a double relegation |

A quick look at NewsNow - QPR. So we're adding Vale and possibly a LB from Brazil? If we can keep Dunne and tie him down for 2/3 more years that's some very tidy business by us |

Good attacking addition, don't have an issue picking up these talents from academies who are just hoarding youth players |

You used to get results like this in the premier league before the money got out of control. Who doesn't remember our run in beating the likes of Arsenal 2-1 (Samba Diakite's best game for us) and Spurs 1-0 Adel free kick. [Post edited 25 Jan 12:38]

Good win, one of those games where in past seasons we would've come away with nothing. Shame we didn't put away a few of those chances before HT but take the 3pts and move onto Hull. Without getting ahead of ourselves we are making a timely move similar to Forest when they went up via play offs. One thing we are doing well is not losing and coming away with crucial draws when being outplayed. Looking up not down. |

I questioned Dunne's ability to play RB at the beginning of the season, however it's forced him to improve his footwork. What he also brings on the flanks is his physicality against wingers which I like, he contests well in the air where in the past we've been quite weak. |
