Even if we tried to get Moore, we will be out-bid by Wrexham

Jeez, what do you make of that, fuk’in Wrexham which a few years ago were non league!

Kelman:Here We Go
at 22:49 26 Jul 2025

“If he tears up the championship” that’s the real trick isn’t it

He wouldn’t sign an extension, he is clearly not interested in staying, we can force him to stay but will he perform to his best? I am not sure if he stayed without accepting QPR’s contract extension would he even be near the first team

I don’t think any team lower than the championship will / can pay 3 million plus for Kelman, rumoured Luton, but was Kelman willing to go down a level, I am sure he is ambitious. Birmingham and Wrexham both loaded are now in the same level as us. Charlton is the “best” choice as he would find himself as the main striker. I doubt he would if he were to go Luton.

If hope he does well and move on so we get the sell on, but just don’t do well against QPR !

Poku v Kelman (didn't dare put Kelman first)
at 22:40 26 Jul 2025

Poku we have been tracking for 4 years, he is not just a one season wonder

Kelman, we had him for 4 years, he had a wonderful one season last season on a loan spell

Poku wanted to be here, maybe it’s the money but

Kelman wouldn’t sign an extension and is clearly disinterested

Our European signings didn’t take us to Europe last season

Burrell, 24 yo, career total 131 app 48 goals, 1 goai in 2.7 games

Kelman, 23 yo, career total 209 apps 47 goals, 1 goal in 4.4 games

Just looking at stats not level of league standard, I kind of think these stats are pretty accurate reflection / indication of a player’s scoring ability

Kelman:Here We Go
at 22:03 26 Jul 2025

Much as we want it and will it to happen, it is just not happening

He never scored in 26 games for us, albeit most cameos and subs appearances

Even this pre-season he never / couldn’t score, so I guess it is just not happening

If he wouldn’t extend,I think we did the right thing to move him on with some cash, you can’t argue too much as he is only proven in league one, albeit, really, only one season and that’s was last season.

Now can we have a striker or two in coming?

Edit- Burrell in coming 👍🏻

That will be for the money?

He was top scorer last season in the league one, I would like to think he would be trying to prove himself in the championship or equivalent

Hope he stays and prove up himself here

I do know it is a delicate situation for the club. If he doesn’t sign, we may be keeping an unhappy player. If he plays well, he will be asking for more, and if no extension is agreed other clubs will be in for him for free at the end of the season.

Hope he signs but I don’t know how that will happen.

But which hand looking for an applause is something difficult to ponder from the outside

There were some terrible games. The 5-0 trashing in the last home game by burnley surely take the cake. Burnley had secured promotion, probably on vacation, did we down tools? It was his last game and it the players were anything but they should be fighting hard for a memorable send off.

I hope we support the new coach as much as the last coach and cont be bias just because he is a Nourry Appointment.

Onwards Ursss

Dunne new captain
at 11:31 15 Jul 2025

We are all reading way too much

If cook is made captain, some will think why a player that is not going to play regularly be made captain on the pitch

We don’t know, Cook could be playing day in day out, so

Dunne is a good choice, he is at the club longer, relates better to the players and maybe the club is thinking longer term

Dunne, Cook, Field, Chair - if any of one of them is made captain I don’t think the fanbase will disagree. To me they are all captain material on and off the pitch

I agree - he is same as everyone else, precisely the point

If he is more successful at QPR, he would have better offers, PL teams would be circling around Loftus Road

Not sure why we are still fixated on him when we have a new coach in the house

We need to move on from Marti.

Marti was popular, did well in some games, but was terrible in some too. We had promotion runs but also relegation runs. Overall he did alright vis a vis the fans support.

Julien it seems needs our concerted support, and it is not funny

As for Mari, history (empirical behaviour evidence) will be off to another club in 12-18 months time, if not sacked.

Castellon Friendly

Our last match was 3 May in the championship

Castellon finished the Segunda on 1 June

If they have already been ahead in pre-season, we need to be pretty serious about ourselves if we perform like this

Sell Nardi. Walsh to be number 1

It is a bold move, but one I support

We have been saying for years we are not profiting from players sales when their stake is “high” and while still contracted

If we make business by selling Nardi, I won’t argue against that

I think if they hit £8 million I think it is very difficult to reject.

Are Espanyol, Rapid and Basel flushed with cash? They may be bidding around the region of £5-6 million, if that is the case definitely we should keep.

Varane has the potential to kick on and fear not, Ben Williams is back on site

Varane being sold?
at 21:53 20 Jun 2025

“Selling is an art form” I agree absolutely

If Bus Stop can do it, it can be done. We have to learn.

If Varane goes, and with decent money, it can kick start our reputation as a selling club with players other clubs want, players want to come and clubs look into our squad for reinforcements - we hold the cards and negotiate to our best interests

If you look at the first team, players like Morrison, Morgan, Dembele and even Kelman can be the next Varane. Our development squad is teeming with interesting and promising young players, that is a strong sign.

So far our contract negotiations and extensions with our players seem to go well, we are not being held to ransom especially in Dunne case, and we managed to wrapped it up eventually with win-win to both club and player. Maybe Nourry is getting it right? Maybe that is his forte? Maybe he has assessed our history with players like BOS, Manning (walking away free due to OOC), Dickie, Dieng, Willock (not selling and missing the windows when stock was high) and came out with a strategy to do these things better? Do you think we sold Armstrong at the right time and at the right price?

Certainly other aspects can be improved massively like Celar and Madsen, these are the negatives but they have the potential to improve and find their feet this coming season - all is not lost, yet

Let’s not be overjoyed and calm down

Whether it is worth will be based on the injuries or the lack of in the coming season

For his sake I wish the squad remains healthy, he needs to justify why the club should bring him back on site with a full-time role. Bloody hell he succeeds.

The QPR summer managers rumours thread
at 22:05 18 Jun 2025

If the relationship has broken down and irreparable, QPR would be getting rid of him anyways and that is understood to mean a payment of compensation with regards to what’s left of Cifuentes’s contract.

We are known to do that (compensating managers while still contracted) re Critchley and Ainsworth when they were both sacked to make way for the new guy. QPR loves to pay especially for their mistakes time and time again, so the Cifuentes situation will be no different once they know they no longer want the manager. I think in Beale we made some money, how unlikeable he is nonetheless

I am just speculating that the gardening leave is imposed so that Cifuentes, under the terms of the “sanction” cannot discuss, reveal or comment on anything that is relating to his role at QPR, so basically that is to shut him up and cocoon him. It might be a punishment (however stupid one might opine) but I think in this case the club is thinking legal. They have to pay him anyway to leave but to sack him (as he has done nothing legally wrong - agents talking to WBA notwithstanding) the club might have to pay more than to impose gardening leave (meaning here he could be doing the “wrong thing”) so club and Cifuentes sits out the gardening period once the new manager is sourced and in place, the compensation then gets paid.

I might be totally talking bollocks but I think, rightly or wrongly, the club main priority is to protect the interest of QPR by imposing the gardening leave on Cifuentes. You could argue it was Nourry’s ego but I don’t think he has such a clout over the whole board including Ruben that the club would allow him to execute his own little vendetta

Just my view, apologies if it is all rubbish!
