This is one of those I'll refuse to believe until he's on the offish waving his scarf. My heart can't take it. On the we're stacked front, for me: JCS isn't a going concern anymore. An expensive gamble and renewal. Cook looks gone to me and most after the winter injury. A shame, a great player and pro. Likely only up to shoring things up if we are ever winning a game again. Morrison- quality player but long term fitness unknown. Dunne - is going to be a RB now realistically Mbengue- looks great fun but unknown. Pace ideal alongside others. Edwards is, IMHO, a better CB than the others and a decent midfielder too from what we have seen. Bit of a Jack Cork about him or Jack Stephens. Maybe the club feel he can improve both areas we lack in? |

I reckon Alan Browne would be a superb addition to the squad - exactly the profile of midfield I think we need. |

I am still dreaming about that cross he put in last week similarly - felt Kone really should have got on the end of that but understandable in his first game. We were being linked with all sorts of midfielders from Ligues 1 and 2 in France over the summer that I had never heard of but everything has gone quiet on that front. Lewis Bate looks a handy player at Stockport, is a Londoner and was in the League One team of the season last year but might cost a fair whack - potentially a little on the light side too. Fingers crossed we pull something out of the bag in midfield! |

I am really hoping the King & Conqueror lives up to the incredible story of 1066. Think all episodes come out on Sunday. Huge nerd for historical drama, believe they've taken a few liberties with the story but what a story it is. Not sure there has ever been a large scale tv telling of it before? |

£7.8m or thereabouts is none too shabby - suppose we might get another £1m from the add-ons. Agree we need to put a good amount in it towards future financial fair play unless the rumours of this being diluted are true... A couple of mill on a midfielder with legs and carry wouldn't go amiss. Hope it isn't spent on a loan deal for some Prem starlet or the Iroegbunam rumours. |

Some of it will go towards offsetting costs am sure but Nourry is hardly going to state in a public forum that we are going to invest our windfall in new players - immediately adding a million and a few grand a week to clubs and agents thinking processes when we come calling. If we can invest in an LB and extra CM I will be pleased - especially as we have spent big money for us on Burrell and Kone this summer. Really like the look of Esquardinha so happy enough with a LB loan so we can keep developing him. |

It's beyond boring hearing homophonic chanting at the Rangers in 2025. My husband stopped coming years ago. I have a thicker skin and just feel pity at the neanderthals in our supporter base. Can't be easy going through life being that thick. |

This development has gotten me far more excited than any QPR transfer link in a long time. Really hope he joins, is welcomed and develops as we all hope we will. Largely excited for a forward that moves across his marker towards the ball rather than what all our strikers seem to have done for years since Austin first come back - which seems to involve moving away from the balls likely destination and ensuring there are at least two defenders in between them and the ball at any given point in the box. Also excited by the prospect of Saito coming back - and his IG really is choc-a-bloc of QPR stuff again. Can't say I follow so don't know if it was all deleted at the end of the season when his loan ended. Loved watching him play - and having three quality wingers and good back-up/impact in Smyth should make us an enjoyable watch if we can win the ball in midfield and get it to them. |

The 2.2m was a badly written headline I think (shock horror) as it referred to our supposed interest in Timofee Nkada - and then mentioned that Lloyd is available for a season loan. |

I remember the general understanding/chatter at the time was that WBA (I think) had offered more money upfront but that as Eze had his heart set on joining Palace as a South Londoner we accepted their lower bid in return for the sell on being increased to 20%. It has definitely been reconfirmed as 20% in the years since he left these shores. It feels like this is the summer or never for us getting a huge amount of money for him - and that only strengthens our hand with future transfers on such as Varane, Poku, Dembele and the various CBs if all goes to plan with their development. |

A mobile CM would be nice though. |

Hello homophobia. Grow up. Plus the LGBTQ+ community are generally known for being more stylish than the hetero community. Don't put the pink and black monstrosity on us. |

Waiting for the next Steve Bould mic'd up where he has the defence moving left to right to the Can't Touch This dance |

With SnoopDogg getting involved at Swansea, this is all surely moving towards an announcement that the great Method Man is leading a consortium to buy out the Rs. All for a little Wu-Tang influence to the club myself |

Every youth team in the world has a lot of filler - and he's only been with us a year from Burnley. If you've got four or five players in and around the first team and doing ok every two to three year cycle of 18-21s year old you're doing well in my opinion. Lots of the others are essentially there to make a team up as is the case in every academy. Was interesting the report from someone at the Dev game who was sat next to an Oxford City scout who felt all our players were at too high a level for them now. Would like to see some of the more talented ones get some decent loans in. |
