Nourry on new H&F board
at 10:30 10 May 2025

Thanks Clive. Wow, this might not even be pie in the sky then… but it’s still a rumour.
We’ve been burnt by shiny promotional pics before. I want a club picture of a shovel in the ground… then I’ll believe it.

Nourry on new H&F board
at 10:11 10 May 2025

I’ve not been shy to be negative so in fairness, Christian joining a H&F board, can only be a good thing. And, as others have said, he’s clearly an impressive young guy.

All this talk of the 25K ground though - where has this sprung from?!

I love LR but the old girl needs some TLC and in this ever increasing world of football where it’s a business first and a football club second (sadly) we’ve got to move with the times.

🤣🤣🤣 I’d actually quite enjoy being Nourry’s pen pal. He does have a unique turn of phrase.

It’s totally this, Mart. And interesting that a bit of news from the club and certain posters appear again… which only makes them more suspect in my opinion.

You also make a good point - can’t get to the point of moaning for moaning’s sakes, so I’ll wind my neck in.

We’ll just have to accept this reality of the powers that be telling us as little as possible and when they do it’s delivered in some sort of weird Orwellian/AI hybrid speak, as we sing our hearts out for the lads.

I think, we should take some of Christian’s advice and head in to 25/26 with our ‘eyes wide open’ and work on the areas we need to improve upon as a fan base.

Who knows maybe there will soon be a role for a Fan Continuous Positive Vibes Only Enablement Officer

Totally agree, Brian

I’ve reached the point where I want new owners now. Feel like we are forever destined to fall further behind our local rivals.

Can’t really describe my feeling otherwise.

In all fairness, I’ve been triggered this afternoon.

Live in Hanwell, picking my 6year old boy up (bless him he’s qpr) another mum (whose family are qpr) said her son can pick between QPR and Brentford. Then another mum, also Brentford, started booing me talking about QPR!!!

There, I’ve let it out now, that’s better. Sorry Brian and everyone else!

Good news yes, but I have to say I’m totally hacked off with the way the club communicate to the fans now…

Can’t even be a*sed to give a proper update on the manager search bar a paragraph in a contract extension. Do we even know how long for?

The only way I can really show my displeasure is by cancelling my season ticket. I can’t be the only one thinking this?

The QPR summer managers rumours thread

I think we are going to maintain our sensible FFP approach and let Nourry take over first team coaching affairs as well.

If you can do two jobs, three will be easy enough.

Season perspectives

This thread has been the perfect bank holiday morning read! Without wishing to pile on, I read a book by Malcolm Gladwell called ‘Blink’ which used the example of an art expert calling out this work of art as a fake almost immediately upon seeing it, despite someone spending millions buying it. The art expert was right, it was a fake.

And reading all of the posts in this thread, it’s exactly this feeling I have with OP and a few other comments made along the way. It doesn’t feel or read right.

That being said - some actual communication from the club - Lee, Christian on where we are at wouldn’t be a bad thing. Imagine that though - the club talking to its fans.

After all, they’ve been quick to email me to say my auto-renewed season ticket has happened.

If you are reading CN this can very easily be cancelled too and I’m tempted.

Just got an email about the first season ticket loyalty window closing today.

Timing (most likely an automated email) couldn’t be funnier

Like I want to renew right now!

We’ve become a club that is struggling to stay in the champ.

Years and years of mismanagement from the board and owners.

A serious overhaul (again) needed in the summer and two teams coming back that will simply pass us on their way up

Without proper investment a la Wrexham/Birmingham under the current ownership model we are 16th in the Championship at best, far more likely to be playing in League One

Knee-jerk, totally. But I’m fed up of seeing us tread water whilst everyone around us swims. And am gutted Martí who for me has elevated us 5/6 places in the league in his two years at the club is now out.

Marti, stick or twist?
at 19:02 19 Apr 2025

Has this been said already but how can it not be ‘stick’?

Marti has had some daft injuries to deal with this season, a weird rabble of a squad made up of ‘culture guardians’ or whatever Ainsworth called them, saved us twice from relegation with games to spare and some enjoyable matches to boot and then throw in the nut case that is our club.

I’d be gutted if he and Xavi left. Proper manager who knows what he’s doing and has ambition.

Despite playing very differently, the way they narrowly beat us, reminded me of Southampton last year.

Can’t see them doing much in the Prem.

Chair finally in the middle long term?
at 22:53 4 Feb 2025

A lot of positives tonight but one thing that feels like it’s been in the making forever is Illy playing in the Number 10 behind the striker role.

Bar getting a goal (which his first half display deserved) he had a great game. Anyone else feel he now needs to play there permanently and let Saito/Kolli take up the left wing berth?

Some brilliant Nourryspeak as well at the end of the club article.
