Looks like Spurs are now joining the increasing ranks of clubs playing out from the back. Even with their players it is proving disastrous and will most probably cost another manager his job. So expect a mutual admiration reunion this weekend with both managers expressing their 'love' of the way each plays their football.
Confirmation of the success of this style of play will be the 'near' certainty that at least one of the two failing clubs will pick up points from the match whilst tippy tappying around and thus proving their current approach to be the correct one!! |

If Sports Republic dont act this weekend then I guess we are left with this idiot for the duration. I cant imagine there being another Club in the PL that would not have sacked this buffoon weeks ago. I'm still hopeful - its going to be a long weekend continually checking the soccer news threads! |

Looks as impressive a team selection as is possible right now in what should be really challenging playing conditions. We have a real chance of getting something from this match if we dont throw it away with suicidal passing from the back. A real chance for Martin to get another stay of execution. If he blows this one he will out by Monday morning. |

With our main Central Defenders unavailable this was the chance for Captain jack to step up and show both leadership and above all responsibility. The whole team, manager and coaching staff demanded it.
But what did we see? The complete opposite and another shameful red card for the 'skipper'. The only thing that could possibly be more disgraceful would be hearing Martin defending the player again and keeping him on as Captain. But I wouldn't put it past him. |
