The highlights on Saints’ YT channel didn’t look pretty - plenty of giving the ball directly to the opposition in key areas. Captain Jack was guilty of this for their goal. Edozie and Taylor (?) with similarly stupid passes putting the opposition in on goal.
It’s good we have things to improve on through pre-season, but another season of dumb passing won’t help anyone.
I don't really mind - as I said, I didn't get a ST in the wall, nor did I like it when I went in there, so I'd rather be forced to sit than go in there.
In terms of moving to other areas, I don't think you are correct. Kingsland North and Itchen North would essentially be an extension of the wall. Kingsland and Itchen centres are more expensive and for fans who demand a good view. Itchen South is the kids section. Not to mention the club would be further against a lively Itchen for hospitality income.
Chapel / behind the goal is the only probable move. Where exactly did you have in mind?
Fair enough and I can’t speak for other people, but for me, I didn’t have a ST last year mainly due to annoyance at them taking where I was away in place of the wall. I went a few times but it isn’t the same. As long as the Chapel is up for a vast repertoire of songs and less of the pre-planned ‘top 10 funniest football chants’ banter, i’ll be content.
As those who stay in the Northam will likewise be content with their choice.
I asked this question before the Season ticket's went on sale. But again, with time passing to purchase: who's in the Chapel starting Wrexham at home? Standing loud - until stewards kick up a whinge.
You have nothing to lose but your Northam chains. Reclaim your sanity.
It does feel like the same roulette of transfers; it’s been like this for years now. We can only hope they’ve chosen the right batch. Unlikely based on previous solutions.
A lot of the hurt of the last relegation - known from now, due to their regular occurrence, as the last last relegation - was felt in everyday club staffers losing their jobs.
Did the club expand staffing upon promotion in 2024, and are these workers now in fear for their jobs? I feel we never hear much about the non-player changes caused by the w-anchors’ failures.
How you can say inheritence tax has no disincentive is beyond me. We live in a society built around family. Family is one of the greatest motivations in work; to provide and build something to leave to others. The money taken in inheritence has, in majority of cases, already been taxed.
The second idea of everyone starting at plain zero is just envy. Obviously it isn't beneficial if someone doesn't have a passed down inheritence, but that doesn't mean it's better to make sure everyone has to have this situation. Your idea is equality through equal pain not equality of any societal benefit. Where does this money go? Straight to the government to spend for 5 seconds of NHS payments instead of supporting their families.
I’m still anticipating Iraq 2.0. Not just in the “Israel says they’re getting / have a nuclear weapon” when U.S. intelligence agencies say no - my view is that Iran was going for a high % Enriched Uranium to scare off Israel et al; From an Iranian viewpoint one sees two things. Firstly, those neighbours who formerly gave up their nuclear enhancements were still invaded (Iraq, Libya, Syria). Secondly, they see an aggressive Israel with a nuclear weapon - the only one in the region. The only way to counter this and stop a ground invasion to topple IRGC would be for them to have a nuclear weapon to deter, and proxies (explaining Hez, Houthi, Ham) to counter even if Iran is invaded. In this case they are protected from regime change from multiple avenues.
But regime change will still be pushed by Israel, despite what they and the U.S. say. Iraq 2.0 is dependent upon how Iran reacts. They could close the Straits of Hormuz, destroying the world economy, but with the oil coming from neighbouring Arab nations like Saudi, no navy, friend or foe, will accept this. But the other option may be just as bad. If they choose to attack U.S. bases, Trump must respond - he’s said he would and he can’t look weak. This would surely take the form of regime change warfare.
I would be surprised if this doesn’t expand further. Even sleeper cells in the West could push into further war and intervention. And with the Israeli’s desiring this war, who’s to say there may not be some false flags here?
