 | Forum Reply | Madsen interview at 20:42 16 Jul 2025
It's a really interesting interview. I'm not in the dismissive camp perpetrated by one individual on here who has said that the proof is in the pudding, on the pitch. My take is that he knows he has under-performed and it has been something which he has not been able to get on top of. I'd be quite interested to know if his self-esteem was gauged when we sourced him and also if this is something that we have someone attended to. The question of a sports psychologist comes up a lot but as far as I know, we don't actually have one. Seems a huge black hole to me. What do others think ? |

Dating apps are a load of w*nk. If you can find the right one. Mobifriends is my favourite. |

He (and Alvin Bubb) were 10 -15 years ahead of their time. Both 5 ft 5, if I recall. No. 10 material these days but back then too small. |
 | Forum Reply | Bright Osayi Samuel available now on free transfer at 11:10 4 Jul 2025
Osayi Samuel was starting for Fenerbahce in the Champions League. I think that is testament to his quality. Additionally, I'm not sure the Turkish League is a stroll in the park. I think he will have become a better player for it. I wouldn't be surprised if Birmingham continue their rise and go straight up. On the other hand, I'm not seeing any other teams that are likely to dismantle the status quo. I think it will be tight again from top to bottom - and I'm looking forwards to it |
 | Forum Reply | Kolli at 13:04 2 Jul 2025
I agree. Kolli is different class. He has that natural instinct which is needed to become a top player. Which is something that Celar appears to lack - although he did show it on 2 or 3 occasions last season - his finishes at Cardiff and one classy dummy at HQ. Going back to Kolli, if we get it right he has the potential to become a top player. Up there with Eze in my opinion. |
 | Forum Reply | How optimistic are you now? at 11:48 29 Jun 2025
I'll wait until I have seen a JS team in action. I think our best 11 is more than capable on paper but if injuries prevail like last year then I think we lack strength and character in depth. Like I say, though, most important for me is whether or not 'le gaffer' can weld the players into a formidable team. |

He looks good. In the reels he carries the ball forward every time he gets it. Which is what we need whether we go with last year's 4-2-3-1 or the 4-4-2 which has been mooted. I think we will be OK on the right but I'm not sure who replaces Saito on the left. Chair ? |

Who gives a sh*t ? Let the half-wits do what they want and lap it up. The only football I will probably be watching will be at Loftus Road and the Sunday team which I run, both of which I can connect to. |

Bennie - that is an amazing spot ! There's less footage of him than you get for the mystery guest on A Question of Sport. |

Yep, everyone that you would want to see is there. Add in Mbengue and you've got a good team in there. |

I'm not sure we've got the strikers, yet alone the midfielders to play 4-4-2. Wha I want to know from Clive though is what is Stephan's man management like ? Because Marti was pretty good at keeping everyone in board and even managed to get a tune out of the likes of Ashby and Madsen. I'm worried that the French man will not be so supportive and there will be divisions when the players that he has inherited don't cut the mustard. |

Well we are going to find out soon enough. I reckon the players will be in for their tests Thursday/Friday of this week and out training on Monday with the first friendly being on Saturday week, July 5 |

That's a shame. Like many others I expect I didn't know how he would go when he first came in. But having attended every home game under his stewardship as a season ticket holder I really liked the way he got the team playing and how so many players came on under him. Buena suerte Senor ! |
 | Forum Reply | Who's missing qpr already... at 17:42 11 Jun 2025
Not particularly missing it. 9 months from Aug to May is plenty - especially with the irritating midweek evening games and am pretty relaxed about the lack of noos coming out of the club at the moment also. |
 | Forum Reply | Come back Southgate... at 22:06 10 Jun 2025
Agreed. The system (if there is one) is not good enough. In the first two thirds there is no invention, as a team. It sets a bad marker going forward and ultimately makes us toothless. Drop two good ball playing midfielders further back when we are playing it out and ticker tacker it out. |
