I hope he is taking it easy and recovering well. Hopefully see you back in the Stanley Bowles stand when things are going a bit better. Best wishes Sints [Post edited 27 Aug 13:53]

I went there in April. It's all pretty straightforward in the centre. It's safe, you can find a mixture of eateries (nothing too much international though) and pubs. I went there to visit two 'must see' places - the Salt Mines and Auschwitz. Important advice - if visiting Auschwitz, book /buy tickets in advance somehow. I couldn't get in - it was sold out to school / student groups. The Salt Mines you can visit on the day. I believe there are a couple of other out-of-town trips that you can do - because the town only really has about a day's worth of stuff worth seeing. Hope the above helps [Post edited 26 Aug 13:31]

Sorry but Dembele has to pay the price for Saturday. His performance was unacceptable. |

Want to see Kone up front from kick-off. Lost interest in the other 10 positions - given what has been going on there in our 4 competitive games to date. Would drop Dembele for Saito though. Saito and Kone, looking forward to seeing them play (hopefully) |

I haev a feeling 'Celar Watch' every time he scores is going to be a short read. 1 page nailed on. |

I can see one or two of our big names going. They won't buy all those players (some of them costing significant fees and hefty wages) without a couple of big earners going out of the door. I can see any of Chair, Field and Smyth going. Think their time at QPR is coming to an end. Would also be good if we could get Madsen off the books, though I can't see that happening. | Forum Reply | What do you expect from the Charlton game? at 18:01 25 Aug 2025
I am expecting more endeavour but either such fragile confidence or so many changes that we will lack fluidity. I'm just hoping that Kone can pull something out of the hat. Then the post match press conference will be pre-meditated bilge. |

Gives us the energy that we need. Hopefully in combination with our other energetic front players this means no more insipid Watford first halves or Coventry entire games. We do need to get a few out of the door though. Having too big a squad and unhappy players not involved is just going to cause problems. |

I agree with the O.P. Saying 'hard to put a finger on it' when so many things went wrong is a cop out. OK, don't air your dirty linen in public but at least hint at what went wrong and why, [Post edited 25 Aug 17:21]

I think we have recruited some good players this summer. But the back room / Board room appointments have been and are poor. Sadly this is translating to the pitch where the players and team are / is disconnected. |
 | Forum Reply | Drop Walsh at 20:19 24 Aug 2025
Agree 100%. Our diabolical playing it out from the back set the tone for the whole performance and Walsh was a part of that calamity. The moment we started playing ourselves into danger 10 yards out Cov just picked us off at will and there was no way back. It is an accident waiting to happen. |

Agreed. Not heard a single suggestion that he understands why the players are performing so poorly, or any inkling of why we are utterly back-firing at the moment. For goodness sake man, after 7 goals can you not see that we were bringing danger upon ourselves by playing it out from the keeper, at a snail's pace, with Cov simply able to nick the ball off us time and time again and help themselves to golden chances while 3 of our back four were widespread and 7 of the team were out of the game in front of the ball ? How about you mention that for starters ? Don't know about the cones, bibs and flags, sounds to me like this one is into rearranging deckchairs on the Titanic |

I was born in Hampton and lived there from the age of 0 to 21. It was quite a nice place to grow up with, as you say nice parks, both natural or with play space and it was quite safe. But now I would find it too staid. My brother has lived there all his life (64 years) and goes to those pubs that you mention. Anyway, in answer to your question: In between Earlsfield and Tooting in SW London: Negative: Difficult to meet like-minded single people Positives: Quite good access to Central London, Tooting has everything you need, 3 big parks within 12 minutes jogging |

I wouldn't say that he has bee 'very good' in any matches really. From memory at the end of last season (Sunderland and Oxford) he did quite well but then faded badly. Same against Preston. Never going to take a game by the scruff of its neck Just hope it's not too long that Stephan and Nourry waste on giving him chances again this season. |

If we keep him I think Nardi will be back between the sticks in a matter of weeks. Baffles me why he has been replaced. Especially as he is a fellow countryman to our Head Coach. [Post edited 12 Aug 20:41]
