Forest sack Nuno
at 14:02 9 Sep 2025

May not like him or how he's done it, but he's taken them from a struggling championship side, with an aging stadium, average training ground and limited credibility, to a new training ground, developing the stadium, expanding the capacity, expanding the club franchise/community appeal with Netball teams etc, a raft of new players who know they'll be replaced if they don't perform, appointed an experienced and highly regarded DoF and they're in Europe and won't stop there.

I don't like how, but they're now considered an elite club again.

Good listen, cheers. I'm not a nourry fan but accept he appears to be managing the financial / recruitment side well, can't help feel Matts enthusiasm for him is wishful thinking, but we'll all know in time and should try to reserve judgement for another year or so. 100% agree with Hunter though that we need transparency on the clubs objectives for us all to understand, align and ensure accountability. All nervously saying 'be in the Premier league' at the fans forum meant nothing.

CONTRARY to FIRM BELIEF
at 13:59 3 Sep 2025

Great summary of Wilkins Brian, it took me back to those days when he dictated game after game, a true legend, regardless of his Chelsea connection.

Regards Madsen, i really hope he has a good 2nd season and think he may do, but how anyone can suggest what he's delivered to date is acceptable is bizarre. He's shown glimpses at best, and has a huge amount still to.prove.

But anyone making any comparisons to Wilkins is delusional.

HARD TO BELIEVE
at 08:11 25 Aug 2025

Not that hard to believe...

Definition of a a narcissist ... a person with a pattern of excessive self-involvement, characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, a deep need for admiration, and a profound lack of empathy for others. Narcissistic individuals often have fantasies of unlimited success and power, believe they are unique, and are entitled to special treatment, reacting poorly to criticism.

Do they make good leaders... A narcissist can be a good leader in times of change or crisis, exhibiting qualities like confidence, a bold vision, and assertiveness that can rally support and drive direction. However, these traits often mask underlying self-centeredness and a disregard for others' needs, which can hinder long-term success by leading to unethical behaviour, poor collaboration, and destructive organizational cultures.

Sorry for the definitions, but I've said for a long time he shows all the traits and based on experience this was always going to end badly, for me its just a question of how badly.

Hoos recommended him and Reuben signed it off, so they need to take responsibility, but regardless now, we need Nourry and Hoos out and sensible leaders in there.

I'd say simply due to who the manager is, they've been spending and they'll continue to spend more. I think they'll be ok this year, but hope I'm wrong

Odds look about right to me, we've got so much work to do, especially in the treatment room, with a few weeks still to go, I can't see anything other than a struggle again.

Feels like a long shot to me, given the limited period of success he’s had at League 1, most achieved iN Scotland, but he’s quick, hard working and has found an eye for goal, so it’s a punt worth taking at 3rd of the money we got for Kelman who didn’t want to be here so a good trade.

Totally agree with picking the best from L1, but also feel we need a few quality Hayden type players to allow them time to develop as they could do.

Nourry interview
at 13:10 26 Jul 2025

He certainly doesn't sound like any 27 year old I've ever met before! 😂

Really, have you never seen The Apprentice? There are loads.

For those hoping he’d acknowledge the errors, he’s clearly a narcissist, every time he speaks publicly we see further evidence, and narcs don’t admit failure.

He’s also not setting Stephan unrealistic targets because he’s his man, he got rid of Marti and his eggs are in this basket, so he needs him to do well.

Bannister & Byrne

Loved those two, both total heroes for me...Bannister was 5'8.5 tall according to Panini and I always wanted to be the same, was gutted the day I went taller.

That easter bashing they dished out is one for the long term memory

Marti to Leicester…maybe
at 15:47 17 Jul 2025

'little overall progression'....that is amazing, not sure if you remember the last month or so under Ainsworth, but whatever you think of the style, of how he handled himself etc, to suggest anything other than he did a very good job for us in his period in charge seems bizarre to me.

Also, we didn't get any compensation, we just got some of the money back, that we paid him to leave...big difference. Nourry financially screwed this up, however you cut it.

The fact is, if you don't get on with your boss, and he's not going anywhere, either you need to move on or he'll move you on, so he's gone, and we all move on.

Marti to Leicester…maybe
at 15:45 16 Jul 2025

My understanding is its only the top managers who get contracts paid out in full, all others, e.g. Marti, would be paid until they get another job. If that new job pays them less, the sacking club subsidise it to the same level they were at, until the cancelled contract would have expired. If the new club pay the same or more, the pay out ends when they begin new employment.

I still think the gardening leave idea will have jeopardised more compensation than anything we did get.

Pink and Black halves

Not a fan of the halves, but if they'd used the same colours in hoops and it would have been good.

As it is just needs a hat to match and it would be a jockey outfit

Maybe....but given the room will be full of Season Ticket Holders and Members who plough £'000's into the club every year, I believe they have a right to a fairly detailed insight into the club strategy and business priorities in the short and long term.

Its not a lot to ask, businesses around the world share this with their customers every year, and I believe we deserve to be treated in the same way.

I agree with your points, but the key word you have to use is 'seems', as we all continue to speculate on the plan based on the actions we're seeing the club take.

This forum is another positive step to opening the communication with fans, but I'd love to see them open it with a 20min presentation, sharing the vision, plan and priorities for the club, both short and long term.

What is the 10 year goal, and will the current owners be here to deliver it or are they looking for new investment/buyers.

What is the plan for key areas such as the ground, financial stability, young player development, player recruitment, ambitions for category 1 status, fan engagement, amongst any others, and what are the key priorities over the short term that will put the foundations in place to deliver them and make this a better club in the future.

Some details they clearly won't be able to share, but they can definitely give everyone a clear idea of what they want to achieve and also what isn't a priority.

If they really are serious about opening up and making all the positive steps they're suggesting, share it.

They do this and they have my full respect, if they can't and this ends up being a Q&A on toilets and price of burgers, then don't waste our time.

Ziyad Larkeche contract extension

100% agree he deserves a chance in pre-season, but I can't understand the need to sign him up to a long term deal on the back of a positive season at Dundee, his situation is very different to Kelman. He seems like a good lad, a willing runner, but committing to him long term based on very little seems odd to me, I'll be happy but honestly shocked if 10 games in to the season he's proven to be the left back we need.

"The Project"

About 9 months ago I commented that I'd love to know what the boy wonders strategy for the club is, it appears players who have been in the door 5mins know what the project is, so perhaps he'd be good enough to grace lifelong fans with the same detail at a fans forum.

Some positive news in the last week , so maybe he's building up to the big reveal

Looks like that article is from March? The club flogged the point that ‘he’s back full time’ in the announcement so will look very silly if he’s still doing this, but doubt he is?
