Can't get to Wigan tomorrow so I am thinking about watching the game at a pub locally in Ruislip. Anyone else planning on watching the game at a boozer in the Ruislip area?
Have just picked my son up from his friends house and his friends dad said that he was just listening to TalkSport where they were suggesting that the current owners at QPR may be jumping ship. Did anyone hear what was said? Sounds like a load of rubbish but it does get a bit worrying
I am taking the Piccadilly Line tomorrow to Earls Court. Previously I have changed to District Line and got off at Fulham Bdy. However if I walk from Earls Court to West Brompton does anyone know if I can then walk through that big cemetery and get out the other side next to the ground?
Just had a phone call from the club saying that my 11 year old son has been chosen to be a mascot against Ipswich a week tomorrow. He is a massive QPR fan and is so made up Please look out for him and give him a cheer. His name is Bradley.
Thought we more than held our own today and if we do reach the promised land next season then we should expect to beat teams like Blackburn if we want to stay there.
Thought the fans were pretty quiet for large spells but some funny songs aimed at the Blackburn yoof who positioned themselves right next to the QPR fans behind the goal (average age could not have been more tham 12).
Thought that t.wat Diouf was bang out of order leaning over Mackie who was clearly in pain and gesticulating before being ushered away by one of his team mates so then he decided to have a go at Orr.
PVM went close with one of the best free kicks you will see all season, just before the end of the first half. Had that gone in things may have been different. Also, Mackie had a decent shot cleared off the line and Gorkks rose above everyone in the second half to head a corner towards goal only to see it hit the bar. Two top drawer saves from Paddy in the first half and despite a few scares, he was never really called into real action after that. Good to see Cookie back in the action.
PLUS POINT - Bruno Andrade. I think he is only 17 but could easily be a big player in the next couple of seasons. He has all the ingredients to become a real talent.
Despite the reult not really disappointed to be honest as I felt we matched Blackburn throughout, but obviously the injury to Mackie overshadowed everything else.
I'm getting a little tired of hearing bitter fans of other teams (such as Reading and Leicester City) accusing us of "buying" our success this season. Does anyone have a list of the players we signed before the start of this season and what we paid for each of the? I am sure we got Derry, Kenny & Hill on frees - it would be nice to educate them that Warnock has actually been shrewd in the transfer market rather than just buying expensive players.
I went in to the club shop just before Saturday's game where I purchased a pair of 3rd kit shorts and socks for my son. Took them to the till, showed my season ticket for the discount and was promptly told that 'Lotto' products, including replica kits, do not attract the season ticket discount. I have purchased similar items in the past and am sure that I have received the discount. The offer of discount to ST holders is not very attractive if it does not apply to Lotto products, bearing in mind how many Lotto iems are sold in the shop. As it was just before kick off I did not have time to pursue the matter. Does anyone know whether what I was told is true?
The article states "Naturalmente per noi Italian Hoops la partita più attesa è quella che si giocherà contro il Ravenna dove molti di noi saranno presenti per sostenere e salutare il QPR!!!", which roughly translated means "Naturally for us Italian Hoops the most anticpated game will be when we play Ravenna where many of us will attend to salute and support QPR!!"
