I know we have been talking up a striker and a left back. But we are woefully short in central midfield. That needs to be a priority! |

Ahhhh, more bad luck (Ben Williams voice) |

Two days out from the season and a few question marks in the squad and the club refuse to give the spiv fans an update. So what do we know? Jimmy - Looks like a hip injury? Steve Cook - Hammy. Michi Frey – from all accounts, he looks like he is out for a while. JCS - Broken Heartstring. Anyone else? |

I think he has previously referred to his role as a Sporting Director type role. |

When I say messaging, I will admit, the way it was said can be interpreted in different ways. Apologies for the lack of nuance. When I say messaging, I am not saying CN has said specifically he is reinventing the wheel. What I meant was, is that there is this widespread belief in the fanbase that this data, science and development thing is all new and there have been widespread changes in these areas. |

While I do admit thats it good that we are trying to stick to a specific path (data, science, development), I dont accept that this is anything new. The development line was being troped out for years under Ferdinand and Ramsay and they were the ones that started the DS. We have also been using Andy Belks data for 10 years now, except now he has managed to wangle his way into a job where he is "more empowered". So yes its good that the message is clear and consistent, but I just dont like the messaging that CN is reinventing the wheel. |

Williams very aware of the chat about him working remotely last season, as you can tell from one of his answers talking about injuries. His high performance jargon straight from the Jake Humphries playbook. But absolutely no sign of any accountability from anyone on that stage this evening. |

Interesting because previously Christian is on the record as saying the game model is "some form of 433". All of a sudden now its far more fluid.....spinning themselves in circles it feels like. |
 | Forum Reply | Next weeks fans forum at 23:11 29 Jul 2025
Exactly. By what metric are the injuries being measured. Number of injuries? Games missed per first team player? Not enough questions from the floor and a bunch of cherry picked rubbish. Its actually very disrespectful to the people that turn upto these things, to pick out questions like "what does my son need to do to be a professional footballer". |

Noddy could impress our board mate. Look at the people that have had their pants down in the past 14 years. |

Yes. Lets see where we are in November, because it could get messy, lots of people that are waiting to see I told you so, either about Nourry doing a good or bad job depending on where your views lie. Personally I dont think he is doing neither a good or a bad job. He is doing some good and some bad. But now Ive seen they are releasing squad numbers 4 at a time to farm online engagements. Things like that are just so unnecessary. But its this new strategy of keeping Gen Z on the hook, gagging for more transfer news, the next post about squad numbers etc. |

Not sure he liked Dave telling him that the changes to the youth set up were nothing new. For me its his inability to budge and hold his hands up to mistakes. He dodges good questions with rubbish. There is some joined up thinking in there, but there are so many red flags when he does these interviews. |

I found this article as I follow cycling closely. First of all my immediate reaction was "what a f***wit" and it is indeed dated March. But Roger Hammond now works at Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe. So I think it's an old article. As much as BW is abit of a charlatan in my eyes. This article is from 2021 I think. Just strange how it's dated March 2025. |

WLS attitude towards reporting has changed alot. One minute he is posting Marti's dissenting sly digs at Nourry on a weekly basis. Next minute he is all in again. Wonder if a deal has been made with the club or something. I mean he will have bills to pay. |

I would have to disagree on that because during his time with the club, Marti continually spoke of the need to be talk positively about ourselves. He spoke of not doing the "that would be typical QPR" stuff. He spoke of aiming higher consistently, he spoke of not being happy even after wins, about pushing harder. [Post edited 24 Jun 22:01]

As I say happy to give him time as the injuries never helped and he is young. He had a few goal involvements but also had more than one game where he was hooked at HT. We never once looked a balanced outfit with him in the side. That's my worry. |

Dave Mc has been quoted saying Saito has two years remaining on his contract at Lommell and that discussions are going with Lommell. Dave also thinks we shouldn't sign him and we should go for more physicality in that area. I do agree with the latter, but I would swap Saito for Dembele in a heartbeat (who i do not rate but will give him time as he is so young). Im landing on Dave's side here. Lovely little player, but we do need more physicality and he will cost us a pretty penny as the city group will want their skinful from us. |

One agent of a player said "It doesn't matter what I think of him, he's given my player two new contracts" As for the wider staff around the club, there is discourse. But again, only one winner. |
