Is that Nourry on commentary? |

Are you the same poster who constantly complained about the manager last season? Re this season, it might be worth waiting until we win some games before you start telling us all how clever you are again. [Post edited 28 Aug 18:26]

Didn't we hear pretty much the same thing last year? Some players with potential signed this year, that's for sure, but let's wait for some actual wins before we all get carried away again. |

And you don't think this post is patronising, Ned? |

It's not three (actually four) games though, is it? But then, you know that. |

There are many that have been unhappy with CN for much longer than three league games. And you don't have to reach the level of Sheff Wed or Hull to have concerns about the direction of the club. We have an inexperienced DoF who appears to want to avoid accountability from the supporters by refusing to release contract lengths and transfer fees. That's one of many reasons to be concerned about him for me. You feel differently, which is fair enough, but can't agree with you belittling those with a different view. |

Awful news. Get well soon, Andy. |

It's not a black and white choice of CN out and then going back to what the manager wants he gets. As always, there is a middle ground. Many people, I believe, are broadly supportive of the DoF model. That DoF should be someone with enough experience, both of football, and of managing people, to be able to do the job properly. You don't give it to someone with no experience of either. |

So there are no other options than the players that we've signed or Eze, Isak, and Palmer? And you talk about nothing in life being black or white 🤣 As for the next sentence, where to begin! |
 | Forum Reply | Celar shown the door at 22:40 23 Aug 2025
There's potential in amongst those signings, but it's far too soon to say much more than that. To talk about being "eaten up by resentment" or setting standards "impossibly high" is similar to the OTT hype that we had about last year's signings. |

Arsenal are apparently in talks with Palace according to the Athletic. That would help push the fee up if true. |
 | Forum Reply | Eze at 18:57 20 Aug 2025
Spurs want to include Richarlison in the transfer according to Sky which would presumably bring the fee down? |

There are positives so from Nourry and, for me, some concerns/flags. We all hope that the positives far end up outweighing the negatives and that QPR benefit as a result. That said, there's a big difference between being articulate and "very bright". It's far too soon to say that it's the latter. |

That's great news! I'm not sure why you think that there are "doom mongers" who would think otherwise. |

That will have been the first time the majority of those players have played a game of that sort of intensity. They were also chasing the ball for most of it. It was inevitable that they would run out of steam, but they weren't helped by the manager's poor use of the bench. Not that he'd selected much on it to help. |

Completely agree. There is no competitive advantage here. If a player or his agent want a move they'll let interested clubs know exactly what's left. So if it's not for competitive advantage, then why are the club not announcing contract lengths in the same way that pretty much every other club does? For me, it's hard to see this as anything other than a way of avoiding scrutiny. It's all very well talking about your strategy of bringing young players through, no arguments there, but if it at the same time you are handing out a three year contract to Frey, as has been suggested elsewhere, then your overall strategy is open to question. And that's just it, we don't know. Supporters of other clubs are able to get a more rounded view of how their clubs are run because this information is out there. But for us, it's surpressed. And given how our club has been run over the years, that's the concern for me. |

It's an odd approach on a fans messageboard to sneer at those who have a different view to yours. |
 | Forum Reply | Dunne new captain at 16:52 13 Jul 2025
I think you're right, and ultimately it doesn't make a huge amount of difference as they'll lead on the pitch anyway. Interesting that a manager who apparently wanted to leave in April got put on gardening leave, and a player who wanted to leave in January gets made captain. |
