Last week it was Lloyd, now it's Sutton. The reality is that this is a weak squad with too many injuries and the manager has very little choice. That is directly the responsibility of the DoF. |

Yes, agree with that. I think MC has done a decent job at the club, not necessarily a brilliant one. That said, I think he's one of the few managers, if not the only one, to keep a squad as weak as this as high as he has. If you factor in all the injuries then keeping us up this season has to count as a success. It's a shame that we're unlikely to see him manage us with the sort of players that would fit his style of football. The leadership of the club off the pitch needa a serious review. A waste of the FFP headroom last summer, and an appalling set of injuries that reflect poorly on the medical side of the club throughout the season. |

There's a big difference between coming on to play a second half against players who've played a half than starting a game. And we're talking about Lloyd here. Perhaps if the recruitment over the summer had been better we wouldn't be relying on him at all. We certainly shouldn't be. |

That so many are saying that Lloyd should have started is one of a few indicators of how weak this squad is. |

Lloyd clearly isn't fully fit and Morrison's return looks very much like it's being managed by the fitness team. Min-Hyeok was poor in previous games so I can see why he didn't start. It all looks a bit like shuffling the deckchairs with such a mediocre squad, loads of injuries, and the person in charge of fitness literally phoning it in. |

Fair points, Brian, but t arguably shuffling the decks and probably likely to get the same result. It's hard to see many combinations of the starting eleven and that bench getting much against the majority of this division. |

Interested to hear what the plenty of things he could have done differently in terms of who he picked are? |

Frey has a goal on average every two and a half games played in the league this season. He works hard every game and unsettles defenders in a way that we've not had a striker do for quite some time. Yes, at times he has an awful touch and there's better out there in the championship, but I'm not sure where this idea that we can afford to go out and sign a forward who is significantly better than Frey is coming from. |

A mediocre midtable team with no strikers loses a game to a play off team. Hardly a shock. No surprise to see some (one?) of the usual suspects overreacting to confirm his own obsessive agenda with the manager. Prior to social media, this is the sort of game that would have been forgotten within a couple of days. Now every single game is dissected far beyond its merits. |

Frey didn't have his best game but worked hard throughout and took the penalty well. 'Appalling' he wasn't. [Post edited 1 Mar 18:58]

Trumps not a pushover? I'd imagine that Vladimir would disagree with that assessment. |

It's not their supporters' fault that Hillsborough is still such a poor away, just as it's not our fault that our away end concourse looks like that. Ellerslie Road at half time is also not that far away from something serious happening. |

As said above, it's a result day typifies the Championship. It's worth remembering the next time there's an excessive reaction to us being great one week and really poor the next. |

It definitely seems to be a post-Covid thing. It happened to us up at Leeds. We were in the front row of one of the blocks but had to squeeze up to allow a load of middle aged blokes to stand where they wanted. I felt for the family near us who couldn't see because some of the said middle aged blokes stood right in front of them in the gangway because "we stand where we farking want". Shame the kids behind them didn't get to see the game - or maybe not in fat case. |

Completely agree. A hard working but limited player. He's definitely better back up than Santos and puts in a shift. |

Yes, the headline on that WLS article was misleading. He was quoted in the article as saying that the club is looking to improve in all areas and that they have daily discussions about it. As you say, not someone happy with the squad as is. |

I wouldn't disagree with that, it's been an issue for a while, but then the same could probably be said about most of the teams in this division. Swansea came into today after a poor performance and defeat at Hull, for example. |

Probably passed it on to a number of Swansea players given his recent performances. |
