I remember the days when the club used to tell us this sort of thing.

Agreed. He's not great, but always puts in a shift and, as you say, he works the defenders. That's something you don't see from our other strikers.

Frey has scored an average of 0.4 goals a game in the championship this season. Where do you think we'll find someone on our budget who'll do better than that?

Does Paul Parker want a job as DoF/CEO? It sounds like he'd be a step up from the current incumbent.

For someone so quick to criticise "in the knows" you're pretty good at presenting your opinions as facts yourself

Possible next managers...

Why would someone who has recently managed in the Premier League want to go to a club circling the drain in the Championship?

Fair points. The owners are incompetent, and ultimately the club will drift under their "leadership". Had they appointed a DOF and a separate CEO with experience then we may have made some progress despite that. Instead, well we all know the rest.

Agreed, the owners are weak and haven't got a clue.

None of that absolves Nourry of his responsibility in this, however.

When would be the time to start scapegoating him?

An inexperienced control freak who appears to have set a trap for MC to fall into. While he forces out one of the better managers we've had in the last decade, his mate is literally allowed to phone in his job from Dubai.

Most of the strongest 11 is injured or, at best, recovering from injury. The manager is dealing with a combination I would suggest of poor recruitment and a dysfunctional approach to physical fitness at the club.

Which of our recent managers do you think keeps that squad up? Twice.

Probably in a minority of one, but here goes ..

Last week it was Lloyd, now it's Sutton.

The reality is that this is a weak squad with too many injuries and the manager has very little choice. That is directly the responsibility of the DoF.

Yes, agree with that.

I think MC has done a decent job at the club, not necessarily a brilliant one. That said, I think he's one of the few managers, if not the only one, to keep a squad as weak as this as high as he has.

If you factor in all the injuries then keeping us up this season has to count as a success. It's a shame that we're unlikely to see him manage us with the sort of players that would fit his style of football.

The leadership of the club off the pitch needa a serious review. A waste of the FFP headroom last summer, and an appalling set of injuries that reflect poorly on the medical side of the club throughout the season.

There's a big difference between coming on to play a second half against players who've played a half than starting a game. And we're talking about Lloyd here. Perhaps if the recruitment over the summer had been better we wouldn't be relying on him at all. We certainly shouldn't be.

That so many are saying that Lloyd should have started is one of a few indicators of how weak this squad is.

More likely this. Either way, if Alfie Lloyd currently is the solution then you have a problem.
