So we spent 125k on solar panels to reduce the electric bill by 8k annually ? Did I read that right ? [Post edited 24 Jun 19:42]

We aren't going to get out of this division with a 36yo Liam Hogan in the team. There's more than enough evidence to confirm that. His lack of pace when running towards his own goal was exposed a number of times, particularly away from home. He's also the worst culprit for slowing games down to a walk with pointless sideways passing. Awful decision (if he signs). |

We look a miles better team with Liam Hogan not in it. Crazy decision to offer him a new deal, but it's the sort of judgement we've come to expect with this manager. |

For me its no coincidence that the late-season upturn has coincided with the injury to Liam Hogan. He's one of the worst culprits for slowing the pace of play down to a walk and I'd be definitely letting him go. |

Thought the players worked hard tonight. No lack of commitment. But nothing up front again. Kairo had one great chance in the first half, saved by the keepers legs. He has to score. Never looked likely to score again. Edwards looks a tidy player. |

Bang on. This is a good squad of players for the level, that isn't going to realise it's potential because of McNulty and his over coaching. |
 | Forum Reply | Refwatch - Maidenhead United v Rochdale at 18:25 22 Mar 2025
That was a performance typical of the McNulty tenure. Up against a struggling Maidenhead team without their two first choice strikers, we find ourselves 1-0 up and the overcoached, slow build-up play just takes over and we meander to nothing. Sidewards, sidewards, backwards. We nearly nicked it at the end once the tempo picked up and we started to move the ball at pace and forwards. But why didn't we do this in the first half ? The game could have been put to bed. So frustrating. Two points lost. [Post edited 22 Mar 18:26]

 | Forum Reply | Sack McNulty at 15:40 24 Feb 2025
I've a small amount of sympathy for McNulty in the sense that the squad really needed a freshen up in January, at a time when the club were pouring fortunes into stitching up the centre circle instead. I doubt the Ogden's would have the bravery/inclination to sack a manager as its not their area of expertise. There's little to no chance of McNulty being sacked therefore for me, he is Gauge's man. He's got every football mistake wrong since he became Chairman. Giving McNulty three seasons and then sacking him in the first is as an admission of another error. Wont happen however much its needed. Whatever the Execs try to do with the club, everything is defined by what happens on the pitch. There's no buzz around the club whatsoever ATM, when there really should be, because the on-field product is so lifeless. [Post edited 24 Feb 15:48]

I'd agree with that. And if we're not playing two up top then I don't think Rodney should be starting. |

Questions in my mind. 1. Does the head groundsman/woman; whomever that might be, have the skills/experience to operate in these cicumstances ? I do not have the answer to this question, but you have to wonder at this point. We lost the Boston game after 6mm of overnight rain after all. I did not know Oli Makin or Phil Collinson personally, but the impression I formed is that they understood their craft. Do we have the same level of competence now ? It's clearly needed. 2. What's the plan to remediate the pitch ? Short-to-long term. I'd like Murray to ask the Chief Exec / Chairman for a coherent plan on behalf of the Supporters he represents. This should be presented at the upcoming Fans Forum so the objectives and accountabilities are clear to everyone. We've seen no evidence of a plan which is typical of the club where Delves and Gauge are concerned. Just the usual vacuum and disengagement. Any notion of a Project 5000 is frankly laughable with these guys at the top table IMO. [Post edited 4 Jan 11:19]

We will presumably play Boston now on a cold Tuesday night in February in front of 1200 hardy souls. Big loss of revenue for the club. Will the penny ever for drop ? Probably not. |

Can only assume Devante Rodney didn't get the memo. Never got out of a walk. |

Seems very clear to me that McNulty doesn't fancy Ferguson, or maybe he's just lost patience with his fragility. |

Hogan really struggled today I thought. Even at this level, his lack of pace was very evident. Oldham will be licking their lips at the prospect of him lining up next week. |

Having watched Burton play Crawley last week in L1 in front of 1800 (0-0), I'd be quite surprised if Jim took this job. Burton have a major job on to stay in League 1 on the basis of what I watched. Even allowing for some recruitment in January. I think if he stays here for another season, he's got a chance of a much better job. |

Not sure what was more depressing, the second half capitulation or the drunken behaviour of the half dozen idiots off the Booze Bus. Foul mouthed and homophobic in front of children for the duration. An embarrassment to themselves and the football club. I was shocked to see a former Trust Chairman encouraging them at one point in the first half. Will think twice about bothering with an away game in future. |

I was in favour of releasing EEL in the summer. I will hold my hands up and say wrong call based on his start to this season, we are missing him enormously just now. Sassi isn't the answer. If the manager doesn't have faith in Ferguson, then we need to recruit a dependable, experienced centre half ASAP or else the season will be over by the time EEL gets back. |

How did Ferguson look today ? Looks like he will get a run in the side now. |
