answered perfectly. 40 yard forward pass to start the move. Rodney holds it up well & a pass across the box back-heeled in by ManiD. Great goal

EDIT: 2-0. ManiD again although had a big deflection. Who cares !!

Bit of a pedestrian first half with only a few half chances for us. Same for them but they have had the best chance when they missed a sitter of a header from about 3 yards out. In general we are trying to go forward, but default to the back passing a little too often for my liking. They have a tricky left winger and their defenders are keeping our front 2 under control quite easily. Need to step it up second half

Dawson dropped for the final test. Harsh to judge him on 1 match where the pitch wasn't spin friendly. Wouldn't have done any harm in my opinion to give him a 2 match run as there are no players in the team we need to take a look at in the bowling department. Stokes out is a blow but a good decision before the ashes. Not sure about Overton and 1 game doesn't seem much on which to make an opinion

I hope Dawsom makes it although there is some talk of Leach coming in. I think if Dawson performs he can get a place in the ashes squad. He can bat a bit too

Blew it !!! Although it was a great innings by their number 8, we shouldn't be letting them put together a 180 partnership so easily. He clobbered us all over the shop and his partner dropped anchor.

Deffo not getting second spot now IMO. No wins out of 8 not good enough.

Probably Lancs best day of the season. I assume they will put Kent straight in today with a good chance of a win on the cards. We need it for any chance of the second promotion spot ( I assume Leics will go up).

I think Bumrah is the one player who could win 2 or 3 tests on his own. We just don't have a bowler of the same class & I fear he will be the difference. Can't see Crawley working him out ( or Pope) but I hope to be proven wrong

Yes I am going down for all the games. Ticket process on the first day was a rip off because you had so little time to pick and book tickets, you had to keep paying a booking fee for each order ( instead of 1 big order) I spent about £70 on booking fees. Paid a decent price for most games, but there were only expensive tickets left for Adelaide when I got online. Sydney was difficult and I had to buy a top price ticket for day 2. Overall quite happy with the total price and seat choice ( other than the booking fee!!)

Gabba should be good as it is the day/night test for the first time in the Ashes. Overall I am expecting us to get a bit of a panning ( as usual) but looking forward to the overall experience

So they have fired him today before the first T-20 game, the correct decision in my opinion. Croft named as interim coach & hopefully he can spark a good performance in the T-20

If they have a poor T-20 then he might be gone before the end of the season. Otherwise I assume he will survive the season and they will review the last 2 years. He might need to do a " Ange Postecoglou " - always win something in his second year!!

Spot on with your comment on the spinner. Hartley is OK but he cannot generate as much turn as Parkinson could. I don't think he is an upgrade at all on the bowling although he gets more runs than Parkinson
With hindsight, our slow run rate in the first innings didn't help ( only 2 batting points even though we reached the 110 overs limit for points). We should have ensured they were in at least an hour before which could have made the difference.

Only 1 game now to the half way break and still no win. At least we were the team in the driving seat this game unlike most of the others.

A painfully slow innings from Lancs, but if we can get through them today we should have a good chance of picking up a well needed win.
