Do we know who was actually minuting the meeting? The issue with challenging minutes of a meeting is that obviously people’s recollections may be different. Perhaps an independent minute taker would be preferable? There’s nothing to stop any fan attending from taking contemporaneous notes & comparing them to the “official” version … Just to avoid any confusion… I understand completely that the trust board are volunteers & have other commitments but the longer the wait goes on the greater potential for doubt.
Deffo Hendo v Leeds for me. Sat in the main stand with my LUFC supporting mate, only wish I had a picture of my wild celebrations while he was slumped with his head in his hands… 🤣
It’s a “test event” so feedback from fans etc re their experience should be forwarded on to the stewarding company so that these issues can be ironed out before the real action starts. As DA said this is one for the CAB to meet with the club & security company to sort. I wasn’t there myself but could it be a case of over zealousness being new to the dale?
Brilliant!! The club should send those lads a job lot of home shirts immediately!! & who knows, possibly a change of music as the teams walk out? Big in Japan…
Just to address one or two of your points… We “was” a league 1 club unit relatively recently. Jim was offered the job . He was on the coaching staff & although it was perceived as a cheap option his promotion undoubtedly came with a substantial pay rise. If you have comparable budgets for other national league clubs please don’t hesitate to publish them on here.
Exactly this James. We need to be straight out of the blocks tonight. The Biffos had Halifax buried within 15 mins by going at them from the off & giving them no respite. Come on lads!!
Surely we should be allowing that individual to attend the game? It would bump up the crowd & allow fans to show “his pomopusness” how much we “appreciate” his tenure at the club….
Great result & a hugely positive end to our season. Play the kids at Braintree & wrap everyone else in cotton wool prior to the playoffs. We CAN do this!!
Desperately sad news. Condolences to Joe’s family. There will be a strange atmosphere at Alty today & more so on Monday. I’m not sure if it hasn’t happened already but maybe retire the no 15 shirt in his honour? RIP Joe
To say that the first half was lacklustre is a huge understatement. Yesterday was project 5000 in a nutshell, at HT I heard fans openly questioning why they had bothered to waste a sunny Sat afternoon watching that turgid garbage. Personally I don’t give a flying fook about 3/5/10 year plans, we must get out of this division asap before the club finds itself mired down there. I’ve mentioned a chief exec role before, someone who knows the game & isn’t afraid to make difficult decisions if necessary.. We contrived to lose so much goodwill both on & off the pitch yesterday, it’s going to take a huge effort to get it back.
Our next home game is against Eastleigh. The attendance will tell all of the apologists/happy clappers everything they need to know. The end of the season can’t come quick enough for me.
To be honest I’m incredulous that it appears that the Roughyeds don’t appear to have done even the most basic of checks before employing this individual!! I have a couple of connections in RL who I regularly meet up with… the RL community is quite a close knit group & word travels fast…
5 of our 7 remaining games in March are against teams 18th or lower, 3 of them at home. Think we need 13-15 points from those to realistically mount a playoff charge. Biffos & York will be tough but the rest are very winnable.
If so they weren’t doing a very good job of staying under the radar… Thought at HT it was going to be another one of those days, good football but no cutting edge. Superb 2nd half, we kept at it & they couldn’t cope. More of the same Tuesday please lads!
