Hilariously wrong and they are just basing it on Capology which guesses wages and length. As we don't disclose contract length they just set it to 1 year and extend if they stay on. If you look at https://www.capology.com/club/qpr/salaries/ you'd think Saito Poku Kone Burrell all expire in a year, obviously they don't. For the fee spent you'd expect at least 4 years
Great turnaround which isn't a surprise given the gaffer has been given time to review the existing players, finalise the squad with the transfer window, have players coming back from injury / get to full fitness and adjust tactics.
I won't dig out names but amazing to see some of the most prominent posters in the hall of shame thread "Le Shrug" and other adjacents go completely AWOL. Being educated that it was a car crash season 3 weeks before the end of the transfer window, just crazy.
Not getting carried away and saying we'll go up but... we have an obviously very smart and adaptable coach which seems to be a rarity these days. One of the most dangerous attacks we've had in recent memory with Kone Burrell Saito Vale Dembele with Poku Chair Smyth to come back. It's exciting times and hopefully many more great days out like we had at Wrexham on Saturday
Someone with knowledge of the Scotland NT will have to let me know why he's not making their squad, surely he's knocking on the door?
One of the coups from last season and getting him extended last week was also great news. Easy to forget he's still only 22 (and his CB partner Mbengue only 23). If they continue to develop as expected, they look really promising
Cooper had most clean sheets in League 1 last year and Barnsley fans are already raving about him. Just seems like we're in an awkward stop gap year waiting for him to return now. I fear we sent the wrong player out on loan
"There is a chance they could be rekindled before the transfer window closes at 7pm, but with the clock now ticking, it would need QPR to shift their financial position for a deal to be agreed."
Interesting they're looking at a new GK regardless
I recall people saying this word for word about Saito.
His potential, being in the U21 England team means he's in that pipeline to become a potential England senior CB. Return on investment is likely if he carries on his trajectory.
Most importantly of all, from all reporting it seems he really wants to be here. I think they've done a good job recruiting the right type recently and long may that continue
There's fair criticism but I've seen people write Chair off completely which is so harsh after his service over the years. I'd hope he benefits from having other creative players around him so he doesn't feel he has to take the entire burden. Saito Chair Poku, all rotating positions, just sounds so good to me. I hope we get to see it at least once
