Used to take the 72 (it ran down Westway in those days) or the 105 to Shepherds Bush then the 11 to Sloane School in Chelsea. Playing field was in Roehampton so if games (once a week) in the morning it was 72 then 22 to Chelsea and vice versa when games in the afternoon. As an aside had my first cigarette on the top deck of the 72, sick as a dog and have never touched them since.
“ The line 'Rangers are expected to reject the offer' would seem to suggest that this leak is from inside Rangers rather than elsewhere, as only Rangers would know that.”
Don’t see how that can suggest a leak from the club. The clue is “expected” it is an opinion.
As I understand it there were higher bids for Eze but we accepted Palace’s bid because of the add ons particularly a very good sell on clause. Surely the club would have factored in a possible swap deal that Palace could make and mitigated against any outcome.
If Nourry knew he was going to West Brom why not wait till he leaves and get the compensation. Surely if West Brom do not pay out then Cifuentes is in breach of contract. However it seems common knowledge by local journalists in the Midlands that West Brom do not want him.
It was clearly a red card offence if the slip was missed, For the referee to give a yellow he must have seen the slip and the only explanation was that he was told to change to red. Why VAR asked for a red card only they can explain.
He recently signed a new contract. If staying is out of his control it means the club are prepared to sack him thus paying out a hefty compensation. What a shambles. If this is how the club is run what chance do we have
Don’t understand not wanting to go up. Football is what it is and we have to live with it. There will be if it does not exist now a close shop of about say 25 clubs consisting of those who stay in the Premier League and those that yo-yo between relegation and promotion. The rest will not have the financial clout to compete. Just check the clubs promoted and relegated over the last few years.
