I said "Looking up, not down "; this doesn't mean we're signing Premier League/La Liga first teamers.
As Dr Winston alludes to, the overseas market is where we should be looking, and I agree. This, in my opinion would be "Looking up". |

Leaving the money argument aside, how do you know that players don't want to come to us? Have you got inside knowledge on this, or is it just your opinion? |

Totally agree with you.
I think we should be looking up not down. Yes there's the odd example of lower league pearls, but it seems for every Ivan Toney, there's a Macaulay Langstaff.
But as O' Brien showed last season, quality comes at a price, and I'd rather we spent our money on someone we're confident will do a job, rather than a player who might come good.
Norwich seem to assembling a decent squad; I'd like us to have their ambition. |
