Birmingham have spent roughly 14 million this season so far and sold roughly 8.5 million. A lot of their big signings i.e Stansfield were made when the FFP rules were different due to being in league 1.
These are not even close to the worst pubs in London. I walked past the black George in West Ealing a couple of weeks ago and it was back open. That beats anything on this list by a mile.
When I saw Stone Roses at Wembley, I just walked up there on the day, waited til I found someone selling a ticket. They'd already started paying and some guy was trying to flog a ticket for £80. I told him that it had already started and got a ticket for £40. Somehow doubt that technique will work for oasis though! Am also hoping the tickets will go.down a bit nearer the time. Going to be glued to resell sites.
It's the complete change in prices from place to place for me. I know fuller's pubs are high end these days, but go to Ryan's bar on Northfields avenue, £5.60 for Camden Hells, £5.50 for staropramen, or 2 min walk away the Plough, almost £8 for one of their premium lagers. Pretty much never go there now.
I went to school in Ealing and a few people went to games, but were really Man U fans. At high school there was one more and he was an absolute fanatic who would go to games like Hartlepool away on a Tuesday night. I now live in Brentford and know tonnes of them. I think their catchment area is far smaller historically, but is growing, as I see far more Brentford fans than QPR around Northfields now.
