I had a pretty dodgy stream. From what I could tell. 1. Nardi was calm and it's good there is competition. Hope Walsh is ok. 2. Defence is settling done a bit and there seems to be depth of players. 3. Good Jimmy is back for set pieces and a bit of attitude. 4. Like having a duo up top. Big man fast man. 5. Saito is great to watch. Makes it fun in how he plays. 6. Top scorer last season 9 goals. Can Kone get 15-20? Seems a long time since we had a striker who was prolific. 7. Good reaction to the 7-1. Seems like the manager is learning quickly. 8. Weekends are sweet when the Rs win.
The commentator on my feed said that it felt like we had 10 men. We were dominated in the middle and Madsen doesn't seem to impact the game in attack or defense. He has had plenty of opportunities to show what he can do. He is quite expressionless and appears lazy. Obviously he must have talent to get to this level but I am yet to see anything that makes me think he will step up I the Championship. Fringe player at best for me.
Madsen does a lot of pointing. Often whilst standing still or just after a short backwards pass. Must be annoying to play with. Although no one has been great....he has never really shown that he can do more than that.
As poor a half of football as I can remember. Commentator on my stream slating us. I just can't see what we are trying to do. Feels like we are back to square one. Early days. We need to get some momentum in the second half.
Steve Cook has been one of my favourites over the last couple of seasons and this interview just underlines why for me. Humble, thoughtful, committed, professional and mature. Could he/we have done better at the end....yes. But that's the Championship for you. Just enough quality to punish mistakes like missing sitters or 4 poor corners in a row on 90 mins.
