It's completely fine to prioritize the league in our current situation. But that was effectively throwing a game way for the lack of a few senior players in the subs bench. Surely players like Celar would benefit from 45 mins to build fitness and confidence? Then you are in round 2 and another chance to blood the youngsters. Whatever the plan is it feels way too risky . |

Enjoyed the report. Re Saito I know it's not an area we need to strengthen but he looked like he loved being here and played with such joy and verve. Early on I thought he was too lightweight but he did toughen up later in the season . |

Seems like it’s catch 22 for a club like ours. If they are not getting first team opportunities and rate themselves they want to run the contract down. If they are playing they think they are being undervalued and want to run it down. Norf says the club knew what they had in BOS early on and I think a more ‘canny’ DOF would have got that one over the line. |
 | Forum Thread | Bottom half - competitive or rubbish? at 18:32 9 Dec 2024
First time poster-usual long time lurking. Never been a regular at games for various reasons but lucky(?) enough to been there at the 82 cup final replay, the 86 milk cup quarter in the shed end. Robinson’s goal was one life’s best moments , the Oldham play off semi and the Cardiff final. Back to the thread title, I’ve been musing that the bottom half teams look more competitive this year. It’s seems to be a minority view on here, but I can’t see any makeweights except may be Plymouth. Favourite cheese - Stilton or anything mouldy . |
