Only just catching up with todays earlier events. How did bloody Pant get a 50 on one leg. Fair play to the guy. Well done to Stokes for his bowling contribution Gutted for Zak obviously but it was a loose shot off a spinner - Very sad but another great opening partnership for England with Duckett - Looks like Duckett will get his hundred. He is truly class Edit: Next time, dont mention the century [Post edited 24 Jul 18:02]

Epic game last night and as mentioned earlier does look like all these keys moments in our favour our name may just be on the cup. I do laugh at all the 'Football Managers' on here - Sarina has reached 4 major finals. I suspect she knows whats she is doing a whole lot more than several on here claim to. Thought that whilst at times she was frustrating, Hemp was amazing. Just ran and ran and constantly defending in the 2nd half and regularly pushing forward. As for the Italians, got their comeuppance with all the time wasting. As several have said, should have been more than 7 minutes but at least the ref set the tone by booking their keeper after only 77 minutes |

Mate reading some of the toxic comments on here are you surprised. May not be racial but abusive to say the very least. Trolls the lot of them |

If its Spain, think we'll lose If its Germany pretty confident we'll win again. Their manager is very negative |

Sorry, but after that energy sapping game, I cannot see Germany beating Spain |

I think you and I were in the minority while people were saying he was useless and wouldn't be missed. If I had a pound for every time on this forum recently someone has said we need an experienced LB that would be a season ticket paid for |

He had a lot to do and was motoring well. It was nice for us to see McAndrew stranded at the end. He made a very dodgy call at Canterbury and the fans did not forget. I am going to Arundel in a few weeks for the T50 - Meant to be a lovely ground by all accounts |

Having finally recovered from last night, what a mental one that was. Cannot believe I am thanking Surrey but boy did they get the job done especially Sam Curran. First up, Kent had to do the job on Essex, and with almost 70 scored by Essex in the powerplay I was very nervous. But bowlers did well and reeled it back (including the bliss of seeing Jordan Cox trudge off for just 6 - Sorry mate, remind me why you left Kent) restricting Essex to 172. Muyeye (future England player) and Finch put an amazing partnership of 114 for the 2nd wicket and after 17 overs we just needed a couple of runs. Thanks to Steve Snater we won when he bowled a NB so it was a strange finish to the match. We were about 15 minutes ahead of the Sussex v Surrey game and so unsure if we had qualified because if Sussex won they went through on NRR. At one point they needed 13 an over so we were hopeful. Kent put the stream on our big scoreboard and nearly every Kent supporter stayed behind to watch the climax of that game. Normally reliable Chris Jordan was going at 15 an over and Sussex were cruising. Then along came Sam Curran and he was just amazing taking 4 wickets on the night. Fortunately Jordan reeled it in at the last over and Sussex needed 13. They only managed 5 thanks to Jordan and the whole of the Spitfire ground went mad. So big thank you to Surrey who after all these years did the neighbours a favour. Cant tell me that T20 is not entertaining over The Hundred. So off to Old Trafford in September (Scheduling is mad) and booked my hotel today Point of interest, we finished with the same amount of wins and losses in the group as last years champions Gloucestershire |

Well the usual suspects have managed to hijack this thread Be an interesting game tonight between France and Germany - I still think it will be Spain v England as a re run of the WC final. Feel that the Italy game will be on a par with The Netherlands and we should see our way past them. Lets see anyway. |

What a great test match Cant see what Numpty has said but I'll hazard a guess that its jettison Crawley, take him to the local village green and throw rotten tomatoes at him and bring back the messiah that is Sibley. I noticed an interesting point, that we won by 22 runs. One player scored exactly 22 runs in the 2nd innings - I'll leave that there On a serious note though, I was very nervous when Bumrah and Siraj were at the crease and thought back to Stokes and Leach and prayed the tables wouldn't be turned. It was great to show Siraj what sportsmanship is all about and hopefully in the last 2 tests that will be appreciated. I cannot deny I really didn't think yesterday afternoon we stood a chance but this England side has a real resilience and shows that whether they need to chase a big score, or bowl out a side defending a low one they have the comradery to give it their all. To all of you that went over the last few days hope you've had a great time because test cricket like that does not come along very often. I dont agree with rotation or changing a winning side but I understand the need for bowlers nowadays. However the rest of the team, why would you change a winning formula. To be 2-1 up in a series against one of the best test teams in the world is good enough for me More of the same at Old Trafford now |
