Real honesty about his struggles with confidence. I'm surprised in a way the club would run an interview like that - it's not your normal 'all's good here - looking forward to the next game' stuff clubs post. But, I think it's a good thing - we all struggle at times and good on him and the club for putting it out there. Saw him in some of those last games and he's got talent and vision. Really hope it works out this year. |

Having watched the interview- what a grounded, thoughtful, warm guyJimmy is. I am delighted by the news and impressed by the man. My take is he genuinely wants to develop as a leader and a person. I reckon he knows his strengths and limitations and wants to make the most of them. And being a leader in a big heritage club like us means something. Also, I reckon losing your dad at 27 makes you think hard about what you want from life. It’s clear he’s done that. And I have to say I look at every other club in the league and ask would I want to live there? With the possible exception of Bristol, no chance. Chiswick ain’t so bad! |

Absolutely agree, very badly handled, with no thought to the likely outcome. I'd also guess, pretty badly advised by the clubs lawyers. Evryone who's replied on this has a pragmatic view of how this situation would likely play out. Surprising neither the club nor its lawyers could see that. |

I expect MC's on gardening leave as part of a disciplinary process for having talked to WBA. Assuming MC is still on gardening leave the club can't start talking about recruiting a new manager publicly because it could prejudice its case against MC and open itself up to a claim of constructive dismissal and substantial compensation. Not great from a supporter perspective but if not communicating reduces the risk of, say a £0.5m-£1m payout it makes sense. |

I think Cormac McCarthy's The Road is his best. His writing is so spare and draws you in brilliantly. I read it in one sitting. Really recomend it - but it is a very tough, bleak story. Read the first two of the Border Trilogy and they repeated themselves too much for me. Not going to read the third. |

That's an interesting read. Agreed, could almost be cut and paste from a club press-release. So, if a new coach is to follow the club playing style - do any of the bookies favourites below fit that profile? Gary O'Neill Richie Wellens Pierre Sage Rob Edwards Ryan Mason |

Thought that was really interesting. Watching the games you see Jimmy Dunne's work rate and presence in both boxes - but I'd not realised the stats placing him among the top few percent across the championship for touches in the oppo box and shots - strikers included. Not bad for a CB convert to a RB! I hope CN is offering him a very good contract. But, also, makes me more sure he'll be off in the summer. Which is a shame. |

Two assists in two games and some incisive passing yesterday. For the goal - he started the move, made a 1-2 with Dembele and put an inch perfect cross in. Loved that. His flattening Williams was interesting - was it off the ball? From where I was it looked it - was something said by Williams? I thought his pressing was generally ok - I think he tries to block the forward pass and force the sideways pass thatn try to win the ball or force a mistake by getting really close. I really hope this is a turning point. |

Comparing a sports treatment room to a Somme Field hospital? Sick and pathetic. Look at some photos of the war maimed. Or from Ukraine today. Show some respect for their suffering and sacrifice. |

Yes - I was looking along that line from R block and it was a very cool touch. Quite surprised me given he's built like a Swiss farmer!! Maybe Marti's plan is that Frey bullies defenders into submission for an hour and then sends Alfie or Kolli on to feed on their PTSD! |

And pretty much all of them cheered and clapped 7 year old Albie for his penalty in front of them at half-time. Of course, that is as it should be - but sadly doesn't always happen. So, thanks to the Owls fans for that. |

Jimmy deserves a vote simply for his response in his post-Preston match interview to being asked to give a Xmas message to supporters, which was - with a wry smile - "Stay out of the pubs - it's not good for you"!! |
