QPR trounced in final home game as Burnley run riot - Report
at 15:25 28 Apr 2025

Well yeah that and the fact they are still chasing a Championship title. Assume there's a nice little bonus for that too.

Make oi laff if Leeds fail to win tonight. Can't see it though.

Was rewatching The Four Year Plan the other day (a timely reminder that even when enjoying success we're a soap opera/circus) and Amit really does come across well. Arguably not difficult when compared with Flavio etc. And always easier to look good when the football side is going well and you have a decent manager. Harder to make good decisions when you're up against I think.

Of course it always ends up with that sliding doors moment in August 2011 when Flavio and co sold up to Tony Pony rather than the Mittals. Who knows how the next couple of seasons would have panned out instead?

Nice to think that our fine bunch of lads will be giving the Sunderland u16s a confidence-boosting win.

27 years old (28 in October). Theoretically should be reaching, if not at, his peak.

Not been helped by injuries of late but I do wonder if his chance to play at a higher level/"better" club has passed him by.

At least he hasn't done a Willock.

Good point. I thought Hoos got Nourry in so he could exit the club? But I suppose you still get a nice wedge being Chairman eh?

Unlikely. I expect Nourry will hire some young Euro coach who won't be difficult and will hang on his every word.

Cheers Clive - a thankless task with this soap opera of a club. For once I'm thankful to Sky moving this to 12.30, had it stayed at 3pm I probably would have gone.

I'm assuming the Cifuentes review article once he's swanned off is prepped and ready to go

It did feel he was making a point starting Dembele and Msdsen, and then taking them off at half time.

Of course he might just have got the team selection wrong!
