I get where you're coming from.
Myself, I am delighted with our signings so far.
However, as a club, we always seem to be devoid of strikers. Never any depth there. I mean at the minute we have one, Vip, who doesn't look like ever scoring more than 5 a season (just another Pintado). Cullen is not a striker and Wales is one for the future I expect. So, for me, we have none never mind depth.
Off the top of my head the last time I really remember a dirge of strikers was 87/88 with Love, McCarthy, Pascoe,Raynor and Allon. |

It's the only missing component from what otherwise could actually challenge for the top 6.
Without this component, no chance.

There's a lot of tidy people on there where you can debate and have a laugh, particularly if you're watching a game on TV. Suddenly there was an influx of clowns who thought they were right about everything and God help you if you disagreed. Got called all sorts. Getting wound up enough to ask if they wanted to meet to "discuss" things lol. Better to leave and reboot elsewhere, where, hopefully, it won't be so bad. I know there'll be some on here who can't reply without being rude or obnoxious but I hope there's far less. |

It wasn't meant as a rant. Yes, it came out possibly as one. Only because its something I feel so strongly about. And for so long.
Yes, it appears everything is sorted now. Do you know how insulting it was to be called a Scummer after 47 years being a Jack 😲😡🤣🤣🤣

They are a very strong team with a massive depth of talent in the squad. They should be, dare I say, invincible in this league.
However, I get the feeling that the new manager doesn't really know what he is doing and is not the team player that Wilder was. Their achilles heel is the defence which does not have the excellence of their midfield forwar. If we press them hard and high they will muck up. Cooper is a great goalkeeper unfortunately behind them.
They will be really up for it after the shameful display against the Wurzels so we have to be really up for it too. Reports are of a 15000 crowd so if we get behind them it will boost them. Franco and Galbraith are the men who, between them, need to run the game.
I can't predict a score as I can see a win, a loss and a draw. Very tough one to call. Our achilles heal will be the lack of a proficient striker. Unless Vip does a "Pintado against Forest" sort of game of course.

I really hope so. Our signings this summer have been excellent. So, therefore, their system works. I know it's harder with regards a striker but, yes, I pray so they get it done. |

We are desperate for a striker though, aren't we ?
I'd never really noticed Kone but he did score 20+ last season. Yes he had a dry spell. All strikers do.
However, the point was how we seem to mess things up when we are nearly nailed on buying strikers. That is what I don't understand and am questioning. |

I was on another Swansea forum but left as there were too many clowns on there. I say clowns in the fact that they were abusive, childish and had no respect for other people's opinions.
I come on here (I'd joined years ago. I had to have a password reset. Not sure I ever posted) and the first post gets ridiculed. You are still doing it. How is it inane? Everything I put is factual.
As you are, from another person, an esteemed poster, I'd expect better. Don't agree, fine. Don't abuse it.
As we both started supporting in the same year I'd expect us to have decent discussions even if we disagree on them.
I hope we still will as we've both seen it all. |
