I'm wondering whether Nourry played the major role in the signings of Madsen and Celar for lots of ££££ so, because of that, the manager/coach is under quite some pressure to play them both in the vein hope they come good and Nourry saves face. Just a thought. I can't see any other legitimate reason based on last season and yestersay (unless they get bombed out if we ever have a full squad available). Other than that, onwards and upwards, starting at Plymouth on Tue. |

I agree more positives than negatives. Just frustrating to see more garbage from Madsen after last season's garbage. Really annoys me. I think he's a terrible player. Also puzzled by the Walsh over Nardi thing. Just can't see it myself, but he's young so guess we'll just have to see how he develops if that's the decision that's been made. Enough seen first half to think we won't be right down the bottom though. Just wish we'd stop getting all these injuries and we may have a push at upper mid table |

I'm with you on Madsen. Truly awful, awful, awful player. |
 | Forum Reply | Knob End Match Fred at 16:24 9 Aug 2025
True. I still think he's suspect though. Nardi all day long, unless he's about to be sold |

I agree. Started to come out, then stopped. Schoolboy goalkeepeing |

At the game. Awful defending for that goal. 3 observations: Dembengue is a player Madsen is not a player (more ofnthe same sh1t he offered up last season). Get rid asap. Walsh looks very suspect indeed, but we'll have to wait and see how that goes over the next few months if Nardi is leaving I guess Other than that, pleasantly surprised by how we look (PNE goal aside) [Post edited 9 Aug 16:18]

Very good points. Most players could well be far worse off if this happens (which is a good thing) |

Very interesting indeed. If the action is successful, it would likely bring an end to transfer fees completely (which would possibly cause the collapse of a large number of professional clubs over time when you chuck FFP rules into the mix). Not good. |

I like the point you raise about Birmingham and Wrexham. It's farcical that we've had a set of rules foisted upon us all where, if you have owners who want to spend money to try to get promoted from the Championship, you are best served by getting relegated to League 1 in the first instance. What a mess🤦♂️ [Post edited 5 Aug 20:10]

Add Danny Baker and Sheryl Kyle to the list. [Post edited 21 Jul 13:17]

Went to Wrexham away around 2003/2004 when we won 2-0 on a Tue or Wed eve. One of my favourite ever away games. Can't have been much more than 750 of us there, with a tiny home support. How times change |

I agree. Better than what went before (i.e. nothing). At least they noticed how good the fans have been and have now mentioned it |

Definitely does more harm than good. It had it's place when people's habits were different and only 1 game was being shown on tv at the weekend but, like everything, it has to move with the times and adapt to its surroundings. Should be repealed asap for the good of all concerned, then sky can broadcast whatever games they like at 3pm on a Saturday and everyone is happy/a winner |

Looks like just the Charlton and Milwall games moved in August to October (both to 12.30pm). Bit of a result if they're the only ones moved |

Where are you seeing these leaked games? |
 | Forum Reply | Sky games at 17:30 3 Jul 2025
Or what about a Saturday night, so it will be on in the US during a weekend daytime? Either way, I suspect it will be moved |

I think we're going to be around mind table. Anything more is a bonus. So I'm fairly positive now. See how long that lasts!!! |

Be amazed if they stick to any of the dates agreed. They know they can do what they like and the EFL will do nothing. They own football now. |
