Decent championship level & career goal scoring record (1 in 4) as an attacking midfielder and would add experience at the top end of the pitch so I wouldn’t be adverse to him although would have thought Hull would his obvious shout for what might be his last meaningful contract.
If transfermarket is to be believed his contract expires this month on the 31st but might be holding off any announcements to after there final two games are completed.
They have the worst defence in the division that plus their need for the win should mean we play both a more attacking side & style - Vipotnik up top for me.
Nothing wrong with your maths Keith but those accumulated 3-year loss figures are before you take account of the PSR add backs e.g. academy spent, women’s football & depreciation/amortisation.
Typically for us that is circa £4M pa so you can probably add around £12M back in so as at 06/24 the club will be comfortably inside the upper PSR loss limited. That said of course we are already 9 months through the current year.
Obviously it’s a big gamble but the player fits exactly in the young up & coming plus potential to grow & generate a significant future profit. Clearly could have waited until the summer & used the funds elsewhere but if he continues to progress his price goes up & bigger/wealthier clubs than use come to the table.
I know lots want to make a decision on the player & deal now but I’d suggest waiting until Tuesday when the dust has settled on the full window.
We need 2/3 first team level bodies in the door by 11PM on Monday - if we get those & then collect a couple of wins in February things might look at least a little better.
