England women’s team

I think that might have been me and my daughter (aged 11) - we both went decked out in our regalia, complete with a "Go 'R' Chloe" sign in blue and white lettering. We got lots of people coming up to us with "You R's!", which was also rather special as it made her feel part of a very special community.

She spent a long time on my shoulders, so hopefully we weren't in Mrs Superhoops way! She is right, the sound was appalling, and views not much better, but the joy and inspiration that this England team has given young girls is phenomenal. It really was brilliant to take her along. She has currently taken herself off to the common, on her own, to do football practice so she can be "as good as Chloe". This stuff is priceless and fills my heart with joy and pride.
