Knob End Match Fred
at 14:31 9 Aug 2025

is it not?

Walsh
Mbengue, Morrison, Field, Esquerdinha,
Madsen, Morgan
Poku, Chair, Dembele,
Celar

I think Mbengue played RB in preseason and Field was tried as a CB. Quite a few unknowns in there. Madsen and Morgan midfield looks pretty lightweight

Back on the horse – Preview
at 12:16 9 Aug 2025

Excellent preview. I think there's reasons to be optimistic but your line on struggling at full-back, striker and not being able to progress the ball through CM last season and not really addressing it this year really hit the nail on the head for me.

All that said, Preston look pretty shaky. Reading about their churn of average championship free agents made me really appreciate how far we have came since Ainsworth.

I'm really excited to see Dembele, Poku and Burrell. Maybe even Celar could show some of the quality he showed in his last two games.

If we bring in an experienced CM who can progress the ball (Hayden?) and an experienced LB (Lowe?) I think we actually have a pretty decent squad.

Really excited for today and the wider season. We'll probably come 16th again but I'm all in of following how we get there. You R'sssss

All our season previews, written and audio, in one place
at 13:11 8 Aug 2025

Just agreeing with the above. I really enjoyed the audio previews too - in general I really enjoy the pattern pods. Would love to have more of this kind of content but appreciate all the time and effort that goes into it - Thanks Clive

The Schalke tracksuit sounds a little far-fetched but stranger things have happened.

Could be an interesting one if it goes through. Seems like he does a good job of linking up play as well as finishing which seems vital to the kind of strikers we're going for. I think Frey currently does this well but is pretty slow.

His record at Schalke isn't great but I wouldn't read into this much at all. I live in Germany and watch a fair bit of Bundesliga 2, Schalke are currently a bit like Stoke or United - a big club with culture problems that end up wasting a lot of talent.

Seems quite a lot older than who we usually go for but the club must see something in him

Posible Mbengue chant
at 13:57 29 Jul 2025

As an international R, I don't get to Loftus Road as often as I'd like or know all the chants but really enjoy thinking of new ones. I recently heard The Hibs fans singing 'Hibs away' to 'That's the way' by KC & The Sunshine Band.

I think it could be a cracking chant for Mbengue.

"Mbengue uh hu, uh hu,
I like him uh hu, uh hu,"

Just thought I'd drop it in here and see if it could pick up

Charlie Kelman’s Leyton Orient
at 13:11 15 Apr 2025

I was at Crawley-Layton Orient the other day as a friend has just moved to Crawley and got to see Kelman in person.

I was impressed. The game was pretty low on quality but he held up the ball well and was running onto balls in-behind well too. He got two but I think his wider link up play was more impressive. He missed one fairly easy chance but looked dangerous.

As I said before, the standard was pretty low in my opinion but I think he definitely had something about him

New boys

I was thinking along the same lines pre-Cardiff actually.

Madsen arguably had his best game on Saturday, he's clearly got something about him but is lacking the physicality, you'd assume at 6ft 4 its just a matter of time before that comes.

Varane looked shocking at first but is one of our best performers at the moment, feels like he could eventually become a player who can defend and progress the ball which is something I think we really need.

Dembele look unreal at the beginning of the season and I think Saito is a great player, seems perfect for the championship. Nardi looks like a top keeper. And I agree Morrison also looks very comfortable without much championship experience.

Celar we'll have to wait and see, I'm not sure we're playing to his strengths and Santos looks uncomfortable but again had moments when playing higher up for us.

Marti has had a huge task bedding in a lot of talent from very different backgrounds, we forget how young these lads are and how difficult moving to a new place can be. I think we might just have to be patient and hope the rot doesn't set in too badly. I think yesterday will really lift them as a group.

Old programmes and Merch
at 16:03 8 Oct 2024

Hello R'sss

More of a reader than regular poster. However, I've recently been sorting through some old bits at my parents place and have found a pretty big collection of old programmes and some other QPR bits. I live in Berlin so won't be able to get them home but does anyone know anyone who may be interested? (They're mainly from the early 2000's).

Sorry for the boring post but would appreciate the help.
