I couldn't agree more, especially your second paragraph.
Traveling on public transport these days, or even walking along the street, reminds me of an unwritten sci-fi novel from the 1950s, maybe by John Wyndham. Everyone is staring at a screen all the time. It's very disturbing on multiple levels.

Fortuna Dusseldorf are currently in the German Second division. They're a biggish club on a slide. From their perspective I'm guessing this is a bit of a desperation loan. |

CEOs/Chairmen don't get fired that easily or quickly. The club will most likely have to destroy one or two more Head Coaches first. |

Couple of things. There's a lot to be said for team continuity. Changing half the squad and the coach every season and a half, doesn't build that. Secondly, our fans are getting antsy — with good reason. Their negativity can spread quickly to the players, especially the younger ones. Skills and postion-need aside, Saito was unquestionably popular. That's not an insignificant factor especially early in the season. |
