The devil you know is, very frequently, a more logical choice than the devil you don't. So the fewer changes the better. We'll need a new right back though. Also a younger, but similar type, sub for Colback. Kelman should be given every chance to play up front. Maybe send Lloyd and Bennie on loan to Orient along with a thank you note and a box of chocolates. Every effort should be made to sign Saito to a permanent deal. Also there aren't many player-coaches around these days but Andersen might be a decent shout in that role. Otherwise, just make sure Marti has no excuse to up sticks. Pretty please! |

His ability to pick a pass and place the ball on a dime were clear from the beginning. Problem was they only happened about once a game as he seemed glued to the turf. Now he's started to move about a bit we're getting to see what he can bring to the party, and it's pretty tasty. |

Yeah. After living there for four years, I can attest that the Andersen lookalikes are manifold. I doubt any can place a ball like can though. |

Paal on for Yang. A natural left side player, much needed. [Post edited 18 Apr 16:30]

It's a toss-up for me between Varane through the fog. Or Koki's curler into the top corner from the goal-line. |

I think Ashby and Madsen are finally bedding in. It takes longer for some young men than others to adapt to a new working/playing environments. They've probably been the puppy's pills for most of their playing lives. Now they're playing at in a totally different level, or culture. It's taken a long time, probably for them more than us, but it's beginning to happen. Ashby's leaving I guess, but I hope he's learned something during his time here, even if it's just that he's not God's gift to football. Madsen OTOH could — I emphasise could — turn out to be a bit special. Let's hope eh? [Post edited 13 Apr 3:05]

He's always had good vision and is a very good passer of the ball. Now, touch wood, he seems to be slowly coming to terms with the English game. Put in, and received, a couple of juicy tackles today which he'd have avoided a few weeks back. |
