What went so wrong today?
at 00:03 24 Aug 2025

First up Coventry will be one of the top teams this year, pains me to say that with Lampard in charge.

We were tactically and physically exposed today. They set up to make the pitch so big, from their goal kicks full backs and wingers were on the touchline giving so much space for them to play through us which they did at will. They have obviously watched us and seen how unfit we are which is a disgrace for a pro football team.

I was there with a mate who is not a QPR fan, after ten minutes he said to me that if you don’t change the way we’re playing we would get stuffed. My worry is the manager did nothing tactically until it was 6! We keep trying to play out from the back when it obviously not working, there is nothing wrong with getting your defence up the pitch and going long when you are struggling to get into the game and look like conceding from your own goal kicks.

Left with a couple of minutes to go and missed Kone’s first QPR goal, less hope he allowed to start against Charlton and we start to play to his obvious strengths.

Just back - Watford reflections
at 00:17 17 Aug 2025

At times in the first half we had Morgan, Madsen and Dembele trying to defend the right hand side, no wonder they were walking through at will.

Is a central midfielder the best cover we have for Dunne? We desperately need him back for Coventry.

If Varane is fit for the bench he should be fit to start, we need our best players on the park from the start.

Walsh v Nardi
at 00:15 12 Aug 2025

Also pleased Walsh is getting a chance.
Nardi does not command his six yard box let alone the area, stays on his line, he cannot kick properly, he would not give me any confidence if I was playing in front of him.
All pro goalkeepers are good shot stoppers, it is the other parts that make a top keeper.

Preston make their point as QPR run out of puff – Report
at 00:03 12 Aug 2025

Good report,
There was some positives, Morrison again, Dembele does have quality if only he would stop going down injured all the time, Chair when he could be bothered to get involved, Poku looked promising until the Rangers injury curse struck.
Morgan looked ok at right back until he had to defend, when he had to in the second half did not get close, let attackers turn and run at him, body position wrong from crossfield balls, he is a central midfielder so I don’t blame him, if we were playing a decent side they would of strolled through us on the left flank.
I’m sure there is a decent player within Madsen, he does some really good things but is so lazy, he doesn’t make runs a midfielder should.

I did text a mate of mine just how big Preston looked compared to us warming up, no wonder they lumped it as much as possible.

It was an opportunity missed as Preston are a poor side but they still took a point away.
Remember we were without two of our best players in Dunn and Varane who make a huge difference to us. If they both play at Watford I fancy taking at least a point so not all doom and gloom!
