 | Forum Thread | Dale Ladies....going places? at 17:28 11 Jun 2025
It was good to hear that Co Chair Cam mentioned the Ladies team in his Summer Update today. I have never seen them play but see theads on X that they are doing well and recently promoted. They do seem to be in and around Trophies last few seasons. Tend to agree with Co-Chair that Women's Football is a rapidly expanding area and something Dale should be pursuing. Nationally the game is booming with the WSL and Championship being readily available to watch. Noticed today that Arsenal Women are to play all their home games at the Emirates next season. They are pulling in an average of 29k attendances and topped 60k+ to almost fill the stadium last season at one point. I know we are miles from that.....but would it be possible to get our Women's 1st team onto San Spotty a few games? I think we might see a few goals? There's a thing. There are about 8 ladies in the new CAB , I know Charlotte sometimes post on here.....what do you folk think? |

Scotland have history of developing useless goalies. Did local hero Andy Goram keep net for them? |

We only signed him because "City Slicker" looked a good headline...... |

Great game to watch with both teams going hammer and tongs at each other.....really wanted Southend to win and our lot avoid another trip to far Essex. Trouble is they will be at it next season to finish the job. They took 4 points from Dale and knocked us out of the play offs. Hope this game shows the further demise of the constant playing out from the back( constant being pertinant word) and promotion of pacy attacking play and deliveries into the dreaded "corridor of uncertainty" as highlighted by the DAZN lot. The winner for Latics was a simple chaos causer from miles out. I know McNulty does n't like this sort of stuff but the fans do. Would our lot have wilted under the Wembley sun today, I think I know my answer. |

Good game so far......Southend need to get Scott-Morriss into the game more. 1-0 is still dodgy score, keep attacking Southend! |

Don't forget we need a "long throw" specialist now, like many teams in the NL. Having one is one thing, having someone on the end to score from them is different thing. |

What an opportunity missed by Dale, ......a possible final against our near neighbours? An opportunity for our lad to step out on the hallowed turf in a dapper suit with a Lancashire Rose in his lapel? What a sight. |

FCHT have already lost Ryan Galvin to Barnet and now Adam Senior is on his way. Both decent players to loose and then replace. Also noticed from their website that this is the last year of Vanarama Sponsorship. |

Great news....always gives the best. Did really well latterly in the season when he was finally on the pitch where he belongs..... Retension of quality going well so far....still need another goal scorer and a very strong defensive monster or two. |

Steve Cottrell looks ready for a heart attack, didn't he have health problems a year or so ago? Both Managers getting really animated.....our lad would be strolling round looking cool. |

Plenty of coverage about how Southend came back from the dead to beat us last week. Frustrating to listen/watch, but heyho that's football. Just hope Southend go on and win all this and we don't have to travel down there next season |

Is the pitch still used for many local amateur League cup finals and such, certainly was in the past? I take it the guarantee on the last expensive pitch relay is worthless? |

Are you listening Mr McNulty? |
 | Forum Reply | York v Oldham at 20:40 20 May 2025
HT: York looking a bit rattled,Hinshelwood not happy with the officials (Is the ref related to Whistling Kettle?) Crowd are getting restless, and things not comming off for York. Playing very much like our lot, building from the back but the gift of a goal by the GK has well and truly but Latics in control. Come on York wake up, we don't want your mob in this League next season |
 | Forum Thread | St Linaker, what do posters think? at 17:10 19 May 2025
Personally, loved him as a player and early days as a pundit. Gave us some memorable displays as an England Player and had legendary status , quite rightly. But seems he got too big for himself and drifted into politics , probably without knowing a great deal about what he was shouting about. Not been watching Saturday MOTD for many years but might be tempted back. Thoughts on his exit? |

Do you still believe your comment in para 2.....Agree the league table suggests we do win many matches but when it comes to the crucial "WINNER" takes all games we are left wanting (and we know the 3 games in question).......4th in National League this season means we have won fa. |

I wonder if these aplolgies from the players are really from the heart or have they been "persuaded" to post, I do hope it's the former. And if they have been encouraged, I hope it's not at the behest of McNulty. |
