We were treated to something special with THAT first goal from Rodders and it looked like it just might be our night....but no, the team crumbled after Barlow's exit and yet again we see a team, this time from miles away celebrate on our midden. But no doubt we will scutter back next season for more of the same. |

East might not be fit to last 90 mins yet, and needs to be quick in movement/passing. Ayinde is an energetic fellow and loves to get forward, ideal to breach the defence line. Can see him doing well tonight. McNulty " but the game isn't treated any differently from a regular league game".......sure? Any whispers about injuries? |

No, it was not the same Oldham at all......completely bossed the game from start to finish. Stumbling into the play-offs, well maybe, but they are certainly a match for any team. |

3-0 after 11 mins, surely all over for mighty Fax? But that's the way to start a game of this nature, get at 'em. Hope McNulty is watching? |

Just listening to Chris Millington prior to ko tonight, his assesment included a comment that FCHT found Southend hard to play against in both their matches whilst pointing out his team played well against all the other teams in the playoffs and fearing none. |

Spenny lost 3-0, pity .........if only? |

Good to see the Charming Prof Alice Roberts doing a fine feature of Rochdale on BBC "Digging for Britain" this evening. Volunteers are excavating Packer Street where apparently the rich textile business owners lived alongside their businesses. Very interesting piece that highlighted local children given free reign to have a go and see what they encountered. All within the car park of the Town Hall... |

Another super game in the semi-final in Paris tonight.Arsenal fall just short but again it's Goalkeepers making the headlines, Donnarumma making the difference like he did last week. Another spectacle of attacking football. The worm has turned and "woke" football is on the wane. Just hope it does n't take long to filter down to the lower leagues of Euro football. Will McNulty catch on? |

I read a few days ago that despite walking away from the Club, Andy Holt is still prepared to put £250k per annum into running Stanley. |

Southend might have sent some staff just up the road to Braintree today to scout the Dale....I bet they were happy with what they saw. Rubbish. |
 | Forum Reply | Braintree Match Thread at 16:46 5 May 2025
Dale do overplay it in and around the box and seem terrified of having a pop. McNulty will point to not sustaining injuries and keeping everyone match fit.......but oh this is a boring game. |

Re this match.....is Hogan on to slow things down, cause that's what's happening. |

York are the ones to avoid for sure, but we might give them a surprise and a game if we match up? No fear for any other contenders. |

Glad that's over, but to a man Dale played well. The DAZN commentators voted Barlow MOTM, with Ayinde a close 2nd.......only mention of Moors GK, Walker , keeping them in the game ,so Dale performances are being recognised away from the COA. They were very knowledgeable of matters Dale,so respect. Speaking of which a big cheer for the Referee, great effort ma'am! |

Saw this story earlier......shame after A Holt put plenty of his loot into Stanley. As an aside, I do like the idea of a Rochdale AFC Ladies Day borrowed from Stanley. Big hats, facinators, fancy dress and plenty of booze......thoughts? |
