1-1. That wasn’t coming was it. Wouldn’t surprise me if we get steamrolled second half. Step it up lads for gods sake. Playing 20 yards deeper than in the first half just inviting pressure
We don’t look arsed. Goalkeeper takes forever to take any kick then goes long which Mitchell never looks like getting onto. Sutton looking stronger last10 mins. Wouldn’t surprise me if they snatched it. Don’t think we’ll score if we played all night. Just awful to watch.
We need to keep on the front foot second half. Remember what happened last season. One nil up at half time, they came out and battered us second half. UTD
Hard to tell which team was in the bottom four and which team was trying to keep a playoff place. The only consistency with McNulty’s teams is their inconsistency, looking like a shoe in for the playoffs 3 games ago now wondering where the next win’s coming from. We stopped playing after about 20 minutes and never got going again. Sarfend and Alty for the playoffs? Not us am afraid not after a sh1t show like that. No doubt Jim’ll blame the pitch or some lame excuse. Let’s hope Bird’s back before too long cos without him we look lost. I
Not much to shout about tonight. We were second best throughout apart from the first 10. Wouldn’t fancy playing Oldham in the play offs if we get there. A chance to put things right on Saturday against the whipping boys. At least Fylde did us a favour. One good thing from tonight at least.
Happy days. One of those games where we looked like we had 2 more players on the pitch. Damage done in the first half where we outplayed them down the right. So much more positive than last season. Apart from them hitting the bar from a free kick that shouldn’t have been given the defence was outstanding. Well deserved of another clean sheet. We have what looks like a rounded squad. Competition in all areas. That keeper can be first choice for me as well. Confidence is at a real high. More of the same please. Onwards and upwards. Up the Dale!
Can’t say I’d agree with that. Keeper doesn’t command his 6 yard area prob due to his stature. Distribution is pretty dire as well. He does act as a good sweeper keeper though when called on. Thought we got away with it early in the second half as didn’t restart too well. But last 20 there was only one team going for the win. So based on that thought we deserved the 3 points. I wouldn’t get too carried away with the win. Let’s put a decent run together and we’ll see where we are after 10 games. Onwards and upwards. Up the Dale!
Not up for it tonight. York were a yard quicker and wanted it more than us. I want to be proved wrong but on that display we ain’t play off contenders. Rodney conspicuous by his absence and Mitchell always looks lost by himself. Two wingers couldn’t get into the game either. Trying to find positives but struggling after that performance. Onwards and hopefully upwards but things will have to improve and quick.
I pity the 377 who made the 300 odd mile trip to watch that load of tripe. I wasted £9.50 which was painful enough. Can’t see it getting any better with big Jim at the helm. Nobody’s in any decent form which doesn’t help. Big difference between the teams today was they had a decent front line who looked dangerous every time they went forward. We looked toothless and clueless. Let’s hope the takeover goes through and the new owners are patient because I reckon it’s going to be a long way back to get back to anything like where we were 10 years ago. Clear out in the close season and start afresh with a new manager with different ideas and some new faces or we’ll just be putting up with the same inconsistent dross we’ve played this season. TBH don’t know how we won the last 3 apart from the Wealdstone game. UTD!!!
I stand by my comments I made last year when we were marching through the midfield at Mansfield going for all 3 points and BJ brings on a defensive mid fielder when he should have stuck with the attacking format and gone for the jugular. Much as I like the bloke he’s too conservative and looks to fight another day and take a point rather than all 3. That’s why he’ll have a level WDL ratio in his managerial career and not a winning one. If we get through our predicament and come out the other side we need a new manager to take us forward in an upward trajectory. UTD
Just watched the second goal on a replay. I counted 22 passes with most of the team getting a touch. Must count for one of the best team goals of the season. UTD
If we’re not 10 points clear of the drop zone we’re in trouble when the administrators come knocking. Based on where we are and on present form I can’t see that happening. Can you?
Need to get out of this rut of conceding 2 goals pretty much every game. We are a bang average NL side. Think we have been getting a bit carried away with being over optimistic with our top 7 position earlier on but pretty sure unless Rodders can get into goal scoring mode or if we tighten up at the back then a mid table obscurity finish is all we can look forward to.
Glimpses being the word. Never understood why BJ didn’t play him. Looked like a cut above most of this lot. He’s a L1 player without a shadow. We’ll done Jim. Not your finest hour
