Big shout for Gaz

Good luck Gaz. Still a QPR legend in my eyes and one of the nicest guys you could meet.

There was a good number of us running today and a lot of shout-outs from the crowd. You can always count on one hand the number of Brentford shirts running, which is odd given the location. But as we know, most of their fanbase aren’t really Brentford fans , but locals who watch premiership football on the cheap and Bees are their second team!

He’d be perfect as a left wing back if we played that system. For now I’d use him from the bench , especially if we’re behind in a game.

But surely if he played tonight that means he’s not a 1st choice otherwise he’d be rested ahead of the next league game. Or maybe that’s only QPR logic ? If there’s a straw we may as well clutch it though …….

England U21s 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 v 🇪🇸 Spain U21s

Yeah , opinions indeed and I agree the defence was generally sound , but I felt that all their threat and crosses came from our left . Looks like he lacks a bit of pace too but he’s good on the ball ( apart from the suicidal cross field pass near the end ) Onwards and upwards!

We looked very strong overall but Hinshelwood is a liability at left back . Stand field put in a massive shift but looks short of quality at this level. Anderson and McAtee looked what they are - lads with considerable Prem experience behind them . They really stood out. Bring on the Dutch on Wednesday!

Mate I feel your pain. My 18 year old dog is almost completely blind ( already deaf) and I think he has to leave us very soon as his quality of life diminishes by the day . It’s the right thing to do but no less tough .

No I’d be picketing the ground or protesting in some coordinated way eg not face the pitch . Luckily it’ll never happen.

My 2 personal hates are “playing the quarterback role “ . Fck off there’s no such thing in this game. That is silly yank football. It’s called a playmaker in proper football, or schemer to be properly retro, eg Don Masson . And defenders “ putting their bodies on the line “. No, they’re blocking a shot, which is what defenders do . Soldiers put their bodies on the line by going where they might get killed. It’s not the fking Somme it’s a piece of manicured grass with a football on it FFS . There are no snipers in the TV gantry . Rant over.

Steve Cook on tonight's loss
at 01:37 12 Feb 2025

I’d be very interested to hear Marti’s explanation why we had 3 people on the near post for that corner. Apart from the obvious one that if Chair takes corners in training that’s the obvious place to stand . Sadly other teams don’t always hit them straight at the first defender.

Pikey you’re a very naughty boy, now go and stand in the corner. I agree about getting something for him but not if it’s a token amount. Plus serious add-ons if they go up . Fair play he didn’t do a Willock and always gave 100%, but there’s a whiff of Beale with all the badge kissing and how great we were when his Dad died. I don’t blame him for seeking better wages but spare us the crocodile tears

Who Does Dixon-Bonner Need to Sleep With to Get a Game?
at 00:45 28 Nov 2024

Never really seen what he brings , or what he actually is . Attacking midfield, defensive midfield? 10 ? Don’t think he’ll cut it at this level. Should have been released IMO but probably kept on as a filler. Behind the likes of Morgan in the pecking order.

I was privileged to see him in his pomp- he was instrumental in putting Rangers on the map and as a 13 year old I was devastated when we sold him to Man City. Thankfully in those days we had a clue about recruitment and in came Stan for just over half what we received for Rod , Don Givens for £40 grand etc etc . Rod was my first hero, and everyone else’s of that age.

Great news Chesham got through- pity about Amersham though. The only irritating thing about the draw will be the guaranteed w@nkfest for Wrexham and Birmingham .

I ran the Berlin Half in April and stayed just off Alexanderplatz - had a very nice steak after the race in a steakhouse with nice outside terrace serving draught Bitburger Pils . Can’t remember the name of it but very near A’platz . First went to B in 1981 as a student when it was full on East Germany so if the history interests you , the DDR , Stasi, Terror museums are good. KuDamm of course for shopping- the Half course passes KuDamm and I got a shout of “ come on you Rs” from a local which was a pleasant surprise! Is your other half in the QPR Runners group on Facebook? If not, do get her to join us . Quite a few running the Ealing Half in September 29th . Enjoy Berlin- it’s hard not to!
