I'd like to see a Kolli/Kone duo tried out with Kolli playing behind Kone. We've not really seen what Kone can do as an out and out no 9. If successful, it would give us a different attacking strategy. |

At the start of the season I felt a 10th place finish would be a successful campaign and still do. Anything above that would be a bonus. I'd add to that having Morgan, Kolli and Equerdinho getting increased playing time and seeing a couple more youngsters starting to break into the senior squad. |

You may be right, and not only because of a lack of pace but also not the best first touch. He's still a very good Championship striker and at 22 has plenty of time to develop but I could see his next move being to a relegated Prem team rather than a promoted or existing one. |

Timothy Akindileni, and yes he looks a really good prospect. Just turned 18. We have a very promising set of young CBs coming through - him, Smith, Wilkie, McCann all look good. We could well see one or two in the senior squad next season. Tuck is on loan at Hampton & Richmond until the end of next month. I heard he was doing well a while ago. Another up-and-coming youngster. |

I'm looking forward to watching our lads v Watford U21s on Friday and seeing a few of the newbies such as Kaleb Dyke, Isak Alemayehu and Kobe Agbude. Maybe Ashley Trujillo too if he's picked. I've been wondering which youngster will be the next to break through into the seniors. There needs to be a spot opened up, probably through injury, but nonetheless that pathway must be kept open for the grand plan to work. My guess would be one or maybe two from Tylon Smith, Daniel Bennie or Emmerson Sutton. Isak Alemayehu is one to watch too. He played senior games in the top Swedish division and UEFA Conference League before coming to us. When he signed, the statement said he would initially link up with QPR’s Development Squad, so there's an expectation he'd move up to the seniors at some point. [Post edited 7 Oct 7:12]

You could say Mick Leach, who had a long dodgy start and was something of a boo boy. But he kept going for 14 years at QPR and eventually won everybody over. |

Many, including me, have said before, he'd make a fantastic rugby player in either code. Seriously. |

It appears that Nourry has learned his lesson and relaxed his game model policy much quicker than last season. Or perhaps he had no choice after Coventry. Nonetheless, if that's the case, my misgivings about him may start to reduce. But the real praise belongs to Stephan for a quite startling turnaround. |

I like how he says how much he loves being QPR's official commentator, and he's said that a few times now. It feels genuine. He's a young lad living a dream life. And he's pretty talented at what he does. I can see him progressing in his chosen career. |

Lloyd got injured pretty much as soon as he arrived at Orient. |

I think we saw today how to add another threat to our attack. Simply get Kone in the box and sling in the crosses. Kone comes alive in the box. That will mean fewer long balls to Burrell but we must do it. And with Chair and Poku to come back in, we have players who can do just that. |

Some very good observations Pdog. I'm sure you're right. I've often wondered how much plain old luck plays a part in a successful football career, such as injuries in a certain position resulting in a run of games for a youngster. And, of course, staying injury free can count for a lot too. |
