It's taken me a long time to really like him. Still far too prone to falling over at every available opportunity, still far too many wasted balls through not looking up. But his effort is good, his energy infectious. He really just needs a calmer head and maybe that is emerging. |

Like most thing in life most are worth very little and a very few are worth a fortune. I recently sold a job lot of Jazz CD's for £3 a pop but there were 900 of them, which was about right. The most I've sold a CD for is £25, whereas I have vinyl valued at £6-700 a pop. Got rid of my CD player and just kept the vinyl, even then only really jazz LP's. The most valuable aspect of my collection is the 7inch singles. Many of those worth 50-100 and I have a couple of thousand. |

Rather stupidly I just checked the odds on promotion from the Championship. We are 22to1 which is probably about right, but both Sheffield United and Wrexham are shorter odds than us. SU cannot get a point and Wrexham aren't much better. I realise we are not even a quarter of the way through the season, but surely we are a better bet than those two. |

A while back I said that Madsen reminded me of no less than Don Masson and got told I was wearing rose tinted specs. Since then I have become more convinced that he is a genuine midfield General. Doesn't leave the centre circle too often but plays that quarterback role very well. Takes good corners and free kicks, has a very quick footballing brain so doesn't need to be fast on his feet. He is genuinely the first name on the team sheet for me at the moment and should get even better as the players ahead of him bed in and anticipate his one touch through balls. |

Depends if Remy is available for the playoffs. |

We obviously see things differently, he would literally be the first name on the team sheet for me at the moment. So much of what we currently do well comes through him. I'm old enough to remember Don Masson who rarely left the centre circle and never ran anywhere but was the lynch pin of that team, and Madsen reminds me a bit of him. Not that good yet, but getting better every week. A great penalty taker too. |

An online article about Madsen in something called EFL Analysis just said 'his underwhelming first season in South London'. Can we sue? That is the worst insult to our team, Chelsea are in South London. |

Have another look. Do you think we would have scored the first goal without his tenacity? |

I thought he had his best game in the shirt. Excellent pass to make the goal and all round good vision, nice touch, always looking to move the ball forward. He's horses for courses, never gonna be Billy Bremner but increasingly a smart player who works the way we're set up. Enjoy your Sunday, we don't get that many. |

More like a dozen I reckon. Also run them ragged in the Highbury Barn before and after, one of the great turn outs. Always showed up at Highbury whoever we were playing. |

I think our away support, indeed all our support has held up remarkably well considering we're perpetually 18th in the championship. I've been particularly impressed by the amount of younger people turning up. There was a time I would know the names of most of the away mob, not any more. Where are the younger fans coming from? It used to be the Grove, the Bush and then Northolt and Perivale, now I have no idea. Is there a hotbed of young Rangers fans somewhere? Also good to see more diversity in the crowd, more women, more people of colour. The future is bright the future is Rangers. |

Supporting Brentford and being the icon, the heart and soul of Chelsea and a hero of that mob north of the border are sins of a very different magnitude in my eyes. [Post edited 3 Sep 22:06]

Greatest player No. No. Never, not close. Gerry Francis better engine, more power, Don Masson, better passing, Rodney better everything. Adel more skill. Stanley, don't even consider it... Plus the taint of the blues, both Chelsea and Rangers (Glasgow that is) always hung over him for some of us. Lovely chap, good chip. But he was Chelsea through and through. |
