Exactly. There are more and more people here (in France) turning their interest to the championship. The premier league with the same teams all the time, PSG in ligue 1, it is getting easier and easier for me to talk about the Rs, and have people at least a bit interested and knowledgeable about the league :)
I just called the Mairie of Canet en Roussillon. Tickets for the game will be 5€ apparently and I was given an email address to write to, to enquire about getting some. Will let you know when I hear back from them.
Don't panic. I remember a 1-0 victory thanks to a dodgy Le boeuf penalty away to Andorra for France in a qualifier in 1999, we then won Euro 2000 in style

Everything has been said really. I'll only add a couple of points:
Here, it's town councils that decide road layouts so you get some weird things like a stop sign in the middle of a main road by a dirt track that has priority - all in the name of reducing speed through the village. Bloody annoying, especially that the gendarmes like those to make a bit of cash by often hiding to catch those who don't fully stop.
Another stupid thing is priority on the right, and some people do take advantage of that, knowing they have priority, they bomb out of side roads onto a main road without looking. That's mostly through little villages or little town. Just be aware of those as you go through built up areas and you'll be fine
I know it's in a long time but, continuing my quest to get people to support the Rs here, I am thinking of bringing my brother and his son, as it is Easter weekend, so we need to get flights. My questions are:
How likely is it that the game will remain on Easter Monday? And when will we know for sure?
I know it's not really what you asked for, but I run a lot and for running, earphones never really worked for me, they kept falling or get irritating and each step would resonate. Not great for music, although surprisingly decent, but fantastic for podcasts and audio books, and extremely comfortable. A bit pricey, but after buying about half a dozen different pairs of earphones and never been satisfied, I've been using the same shokz everyday for about 2 years
