When Madsen clears a few off the line , scores a few like Field did against Leeds then you might make a comparison , as others have said player of the season twice , there’s no comparison . |

All the talk before the game was that Charlton were fit and ferocious in the press (closing down) so he took that hazard out of play , game management . Jones commented how we changed our approach and it caught them out . |

Strange how we see games differently . I thought Varane was suberb today , he intercepted so many passes , Kone is the striker we all wanted but pace ? I didn’t see that . On the evidence so far he can take chances when they come which is what we want but he isn’t easy on the eye IMO |

That was my gut reaction after today but if as Clive says the next cab on the rank is a clone of the last one I cant see the point .
It seems clear from training videos , melancholy interviews and performances that the players are not on board , either after the way Marti left or the fact that the new coach is just following instructions with next to no power .
This nonsense with Walsh , Madsen getting minutes every game , gifting the development squad a first team appearance to enhance their value without merit being involved at all . Stephan needs to go rogue and run it his way as I think Nourry will burn through coaches before falling on his sword .. |
