What handouts. The government was given Wales the money for provide for UK infrastructure. Funny how you were always happy to accept "handouts" from the EU even if the money came from UK taxpayers. |

Was told by reliable sources at the Derby game, people who were actually at the game, that the crowd was far in excess of the 9000 you claim. There certainly were not 12,000 empty seats as you claim. |

It is the UK's wealth which the UK government share throughout the UK. With Wales getting £130 for every £100 England gets. |

Was very fair of the UK government to fully fund the M4 relief road as part of the UK infrastructure programme. Funny how Drakeford happily accepted UK taxpayers money, via the EU, to upgrade the heads of the valley road. |

Merthyr were in the football league for 10 years. At the time the population of Merthyr was over 90,000 the 4th largest town/city in Wales. It population has fallen over the 100 years and is now around 50,000. |

I don't hate everything Welsh. What ever put that silly idea into your mind? Just pointing out to you why Merthyr will not want to drop down several levels of the football pyramid to join a very low standard of football in the Cymru league. I do find it extraordinary that some people in Wales are prepared to except second best. They seem to lack ambition and the desire to improve themselves. Good luck to Merthyr and Wrexham striving to better their performances. As you point out, after 30 years, the Cymru league still has far lower attendances than the Welsh league it replaced. Their use to be far more local derbies in the old Welsh league. Teams like Haverfordwest, milford Haven, Pembrokeshire Borough, Llanelli, Ferndale, Tony Pentre etc all use to attract far bigger crowds than the Cymru league. [Post edited 7 Apr 8:50]

Merthyr average attendance this season 1140 Average attendance Cymru league this season 399 with Penybont averaging 580 and perpetual winners TNS averaging just 310. Cymru league south this season 210 with Afan Lido averaging 318 Cymru league north this season 272 with Colwyn Bay averaging 732 Show the complete lack of interest within Wales for this league. |

 | Forum Reply | Heathrow, Gatwick and now Luton Airport to Expand at 17:14 5 Apr 2025
Both Heathrow and Luton are privately owned airports and they money being invested in them in private finance not money from the Government. The government nationalised Rhoose airport because it was making a loss. Despite more money from the Weslh taxpayers it sill makes a loss. Demand for air travel is booming with just about every airport, in the UK, seeing increased passenger numbers. numbers . None of the holiday giants want to expand their flights at Rhoose Airport. |

The EU has 20% tarrifs imposed on it. The UK only 10% and Brexit benefit. Just shows how undemocratic the EU is. It is a protectionist cartel that is against free trade with the rest if the World. I doubt labour will be in power in 10 years, given had much damage they have done to the economy and businesses after only 9 months in power. |

Is that why 3 years after the invasion Russia has lost 50% of the territory they gained in the first 2 months of their invasion. Russia still targets civilian schools, hospitals housing as well as killing civilians and POW. |

Just as the massive oil and gas wealth of the English and Scottish North Sea has been shared with Wales which is far more than the very small amounts of Welsh offshore wind fees which are tiny compared to he North Sea wind feed. |

Unfortunately areas of a county cannot issue passports only sovereign nations can. That why we have UK passports. |
 | Forum Reply | Capital Gains Tax Revenues Down at 08:05 31 Mar 2025
Our best times were in the 90s with our low taxation rate which meant people actually had an incentive to work and keep more of their own money. We were actually paying off the Nation debt as tax revenues exceed government spending. Now unfortunately some people on benefits are earning more than people who actually work. |
