We are not the highest in Europe let alone the World.
Italy, Spain, Germany and Belgium all have higher electricity prices than the UK.

Are Plaid going to win the Senedd vote next year ?
at 17:24 25 Sep 2025

Huge increase in the cost of running the senedd next year. Their proposed budget will be over £100m. That works out ar £1 million per Senned member with three extra 36 Senedd members cost £1 million each. Which equates to £10 for every person in Wales.

Who do you want in fourth round of the league cup?

Strange Cardiff got a smaller crowd than Swansea in the 2nd round despite playing local opposition.

The English refuse to use the official name of Wrexham's home

It is still the racecourse to most people in Wales and always will be. More important things to worry about in the World.

The BBC refered to it by its new name so not sure why you are having another one of you anti English rants, especially as you posted in English not Welsh.

I see season tickets are back on sale until Wednesday. It was poor marketing to take them off sale before the transfer window closed

Perhaps we should have a another vote on Welsh Devolution. The first referendum won by the Natioinlist by a tiny majority, was 25 years ago.

Perhaps it is time to give the Welsh voters another say on failure by 25 years of labour misrule in the Senedd.

I suspect most people in Wales can't wait to give their verdict in May.

French Government on verge of collapse
at 22:13 8 Sep 2025

Unfortunately France's problems stem from a faltering economy which is symptomatic of the whole undemocratic EU which promotes protectionism and stifles growth.
France's is higher than the UK as a proportion of GDP. This despite the fact that the CAP was designed to protect inefficient French farmers.

Incorrect she was voted as Deputy leader of the Labour Party by the Unions.
The Unions have no power to elect anyone as Deputy PM. The appointment of cabinet members is done by the PM of the Day.

When in opposition Starmer did try sack her as deputy Leader of the labour party but was stopped by the Unions.

All a bit academic now as she has reigned from both. Wonder if she will be prosecuted for tax evasion.

Looks like Raynor lied. She claim she was given the tax advice by the firm handling the conveyancing.

They say they used the information provided by Raynor to calculate the stamp duty due. They also say they do not provide tax advice.

Wonder who we should believe. The tax evaders or trusted family firm woth a good reputation.

Good transfer window.

Just a pity the window for buying season tickets ended on 31st of August. Why not a week after the transfer deadline closes. An opportunity to sell more missed.

Nigel's cunning plan

Unfortunately most the people who have upped sticks and moved illegally to the UK can't afford to support themselves. The UK tax payers is expected to give them free accommodation, free health care, free education and free food as well.

Scyld Berry - The Last Cricket Game at St Helens
at 05:10 1 Sep 2025

Unfortunately covoid killed off cricket in Swansea aided by years of neglect from Swansea City Council who let the ground decay since the its peak in the late 70s with the removal of the vast terrace at the side of the ground and the old rugby stand. The balconiers did thier best to keep cricket alive at St Helens with thier financial support for over 20 years but cricket has now been lost to the people of Swansea and West Wales.

Generational unemployment
at 18:20 28 Aug 2025

Unfortunately people on benefits receive them tax free while people working pay Tax and NI on their earnings. Until the government start taxing benefits then people make the choice to live on unemployment benefits rather than work.

Unfortunately no government will take the action needed to get the workshy working.
