Yesterday was his best game, created some very good chances but not taken.....he was far better than just 20/25 minutes in the other two matches.

You cannot live in this divison with 7.8 workhorses, you need a lot more. They all give the ball away frequently, not just Madsen!!!

The jury is still out on Celar but from what I have seen he has been very limited indeed.

Morgan has done OK in a match or two, at most, gives the ball away far too easily and done very little in other games, hence why is is getting splitters on the bench most weeks.....he has a long way to go before he gets the sort of praise you are giving him from me.

Dunne is massive for us and we should listen very carefully to his agent as to what he wants to stay here.

His prime job in the Team is offensive work....he is doing that pretty well imho.

Defensively, he needs to get better but he is working ok(ish) at shutting players down and getting in defensive positions - much improved.......far better than Kolli, who should have closed the ball down a lot better for their goal.

Out of Contract
at 09:54 20 Apr 2025

As usual many posters wanting Colback out, etc, etc.....

Well yesterday, at Preston, we were by far better than them and comfortably good all around. But to win matches you need goalscorers, which we had yesterday, but it is most important was to win midfield and Jack Colback & Varane done that very well. No sign of Jack Colback 'not having legs' from what I saw but, hey, posters please make the stories up, it's fine, MC picks the players who want to win and Colback is one of those players he picks for very clear reasons. May be here next season, may not, depends on his money demands and if he wants to stay here, fortunately posters on this MB will have zero input!!!

PS - Whilst mentioning Wilkins, Have a look how old Steve Gerard was captaining Liverpool.

I understand that MC's relationship with senior figure(s) is difficult. Whether that is enough for him to 'jump ship' is the question.

I also understand that Ben Williams is a 'poor player'..........just like the previous Academy Manager who apparently left us to go to Spurs.

Never had much time for this individual, had a few good games but overall a major disappointment. My opinion is that he had a poor attitude towards the game & QPR, gets whatever he deserves.

Hunter is pretty much correct in what he is saying imho.

Madsen has been very average for many of the games that he has been selected, do not think many are arguing about that. Some posters have gone well OTT about some of his games & performances.

Last 3 matches he has done a decent job for the Team and shown that he has some talent. Recent, he was good and that will be noted in my book and hopefully by posters on this MB. He does not deserve nothing but praise for playing pretty well but I am sure many posters will want to mention previous matches where he has found life difficult.

I do not know but he, just maybe one of those players that needs time to adjust to England, English Football and the Championship.

Well done Nico, keep it up.

Decent performance today, seems to understand 'things' over the past few games.

Decent striker of the ball.

No need to complain over the past 3 matches.

Jimmy Dunne Will he stay or will he go

Opinions are......will he go, will he stay??

Whether he is a good ball player, control & distribution should not be an opinion, it is what I have seen many times and what posters should see week in & week out. Just like 'pace'.

Really, his skills are very limited indeed..........the amount of times he mis-controls a ball would be penalised in the Premier. Not only that his control has given away needless corners during games. And much more. His skills are just good enough for us. His main attributes are his heading of the ball, tackling, attitude & application during matches.

If he was Premier quality he would have been 'nabbed' by now and left us when Sheffield were 'eyeing' him.

I am unsure if he will go but I do not think that it is a 'done deal' with another club or in his head or with QPR.......my view and probably biased, stay here, enjoy your football, be realistic, get a few more quid and a long contract. I want him here, I think he has been most important to the Team probably better than I thought prior to the season started. Although he is a 'proper' decent lad from what I have seen of him.

Moving on the Jimmy & the Premiership......I do not believe that he has the necessary talent/skills/ability/pace to play week in & week out in the Premier. The best he would do would be a 'back-up' but he would not think that in himself.

Why not play the U16s team at Preston!!!!!

Should be good for the 1000 odd travelling fans .....and for the boys to get a good battering and learn their trade.

Exactly, good chat.......and the raves we get about him on this very MB!!!!!

It is all down to money because he is a good asset to the Club and specifically the Team.

So you are 'happy' with him as a squad player, then in 3 months time, 3 months older, despite that he currently plays most weeks because MC rates him and I would suggest many other within the Club do too and doing a very decent job, a key player for the Team - just watch what he does, no signs that he cannot get around the pitch whatsoever, you want he relegated to a squad player..

Absolute nonsense, 100%. If he meets our wage structure and he is willing to stay then sign him up and let him play & use his experience around the playing staff. The same goes for Cook too, but hey-ho you probably have no issues signing him again!!!! Nonsense.

Why you say that??? He is one of our best midfielders and showing no signs of failing. Big 'plus' for the team & Club. Need to open your eyes a bit!!!

No issues with keeping Cook or Colback providing wages are not out of our league.

Calm down, I not over excited just think that many posters need to give the man a break when he plays pretty well over the last two matches, but hey many posters just want to look what he has done previous.....absolutely wrong.

All this stuff about he doesn't work, he doesn't tackle, he doesn't show for the ball, he does press, etc, etc (and comparing him with Field/Varane) is absolute 'tosh' re his performances over the past 2 games (why keep on going on about previous??) and thankfully MC has seen that and played him. He will be selected against PNE as well so all this negativity is poor.

And by the way, for those 'in the know' (ha ha) about the cost £3/4 million transfer fee, it isn't his fault that the Club paid that for him, if they actually did pay that money.

So what he is not ours.......Edwards played well yesterday & imho was possibly the best of the 11 - thats football, best players get picked..

Lets not go too OTT with Morrison, he has only played a few games. I have seen all this OTT stuff with Armstrong, Morgan, Kolli, etc, etc, etc. A dozen good games and that's it but I like, generally, what I have seen thus far.
