Celar is not and will never be good enough to represent QPR in the Championship.....why so many posters see it differently is because they do not understand the game property. Of course he will score the odd goal, do something decent in the march, etc, etc but he is nowhere near the level required. And please do not suggest he meant to do what happened for his involvement in our goal....it was shear luck bit I suppose he was there!!!
I thought, and it turned out to be pretty near the mark, that Dykes was poor.........BUT give me Dykes instead, he adds more than Celar. |

The management has got some tough decisions.
Morgan gives the ball away too much and fouls a lot so if it is a choice between Morgan or Vale I would select Vale. Not sure Chair will play where he did v Brentford, it was a waste for me. Also difficult decision whether to play Dembele & Poku together.

Our luck knocked us for 6 last season and it appears to be continuing......
4/5 pretty certain starters will not get near the team tomorrow, how's ya luck!!!
Field MUST play in midfield tomorrow.......presume that Dembele/Puko will play wide instead of Smyth & Adamson for Dunne. Celar may start as well.
To be honest, with that team we will be doing very well to get a draw but who knows, it's football. |

Dunne & Larkeche will be the full backs, Walsh No1, Morgan will start, Menbengue the other CB if Cook is unfit, Chair will be midfield with Field, Varane, Madsen, expect Smyth in there too, but if not Dembele or Puku or Vale. If fit he may throw in Burrell
WALSH
DUNNE - MORRISON - MENBENGUE - LARKECHE
SMYTH - FIELD - VARANE - MADSEN - VALE/DEMBELE/PUKO
BURRELL(??) or one of the midfielders.
I, actually, find it quite unbelievable that the side is not stable for the starting game of the season....... [Post edited 8 Aug 9:55]

I want Varane to stay but lets not go too OTT about his abilities, he is a long way away from being 'proper'.........taking away 'what might be', I would have Field (& Colback) picked ahead of him because he is more beneficial to to team atm. |

Madness and very wrong to expect Morgan or Chair to do Field's job!!!!! They have about zero chance of doing it!!!! He is a DCM player whom can occasionally play a more forward role. |

The teams he selects, the positions he plays some of the players, the tactics he uses, he smiles and jokes far too much and so on.
Too early to judge atm but it concerns me......nothing but a win will keep me onside against PNE. |

Really......they contained us for 90 minutes, never broke ito a sweat, knocked the ball around reasonable well, did just what they had to......probably will be tough for them this year.
I am more interested in us......very disappionted indeed, some of the players were very poor indeed, Manager is begining to worry me but it is early days for him.
We will see, next week we must be 100 times better to get anything from the game. |

Watched it via the channel live......I liked what I heard, not all but much of it. Thought the panel spoke well and CN was well in control throughout.
Personally, I think we are going in the right direction, I think CN puts his 'heart & soul' into the job and for a young man he speaks very well. He 'thrives' QPR imho, it is a big challenge for him and he knows it.
Lets hope we get a decent start to the season and as has been said we have a relatively easy start to the fixtures so the start is most important. I am looking forward to PNE and hope JS and his off field team are on form over the next 10 days & the players play well with confidence. |

I just thought that this is Nourry main job & not picking football players Norf.......but maybe it isn't, I don't know.
If I was fortunate enough to get a Fans Forum ticket I would of made reference to his job & the DoF to Nourry and not let him waffle.....sadly, after 60 years of supporting the R's watching them 99% of the time at home and many many away matches, they have decided that I am going on the f'ing reserve list!!!! I was going with a mate who applied for a tcket after me and he got one & I did not....like to know how they decided!!!! [Post edited 27 Jul 12:18]

You highjacked the thread by bringing Madsen into it and when I highlight the error of your ways you want to move on from Madsen.....typical!!!!
You need to understand that he has had a very hard time of it most of last season, like it or not he done pretty well at the back end of it and while, it may be said that players were on their holidays, he still needed to do it and he did including a very classy goal.
A new season beacons and we need to give him some credit when it is deserved and not continue with the 'slagging' and inappropriate criticisms which are not correct. |
