Yeah very fair points, this is why this is always my favourite part of the season before the reality kicks in. |

Yeah, he will do for me. Would love to see him have a full season up top with Kolli, with hopefully Kelman, Celar and Lloyd as back up. So much better watching a Rangers side having a striker that don’t mind putting it about a bit |

Charlie, 3. What was the record amount of programmes he sold in a day at Hampton and Richmond? |

Also Charlie, on an unrelated note, if your cover is blown send me a PM (not DM) |

Think it’s time to start vetting Clive… only people that can present photographic evidence of QUEENS PARK RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB tattooed across their penis or breasts allowed (font 44 or larger) |

There was a period, roughly around the time him (mainly) and Dexter tore apart Crystal Palace that I felt he had a chance with the England squad as one of the best left midfielders in the Country. For me, other than Cooky: Andy Sinton (still not forgiven him. 1st player that I loved leaving the club and just couldn’t understand it as a young child) Darren Peacock Sir Les Alan McDonald Paul Murray (think he ended up injured and released?) Jermaine Darlington (bizarre one) Crouchie Danny Shittu Feel bad not mentioning Clive Wilson as it seems obvious now how important that / he was to us, but I never realised at the time. Quashie also to a lesser extent. Trev was a funny one because at the end of his time here, rightly or wrongly, felt like he was getting a bit of flack… but then to let Redknapp pull our pants down like that, was criminal and that almost hurt more than losing Trev…. F**king Trev to Dowie and the other donkeys, still makes me angry 20/30 years on. It defo hurt all that much more as a child though. |

How happy Les playing and scoring for us whilst I was a young kid in the mid 90s I can never forget. |

Excellent ‘Rolls Royce’ performance. Think he will likely be the outstanding defender in the league next season. |

Have to agree. It’s great to have a centre forward up there that the ball sticks to. Feel that we are a much better team with him in it. Early days and a long way off achieving the same heights, but a little Helguson esque in the Warnock team. |

Spurs player being linked on loan, anyone have any idea if he would be a good addition. Feedback seems positive from Spurs fans… |

Yeah, and hopefully the board realise what we have and allow him to do the job to his fullest. |
 | Forum Reply | Sam Field at 12:18 19 Jan 2025
I think the 3 of Field, Varane and Morgan complement each other very nicely at the moment, and their positional play seems to be excellent. I know we have all had a beer, but reminds me slightly of Michael Carrick in there. A very calming, underrated (by some) influence on the team. Always happy to see his name on the team sheet in that midfield 3. |

Great read, thanks Clive. Brilliant news on the new contracts, hopefully gearing us up to head back in the right direction after a few tricky years on the decline. |

Rowan Vine. Thought he was a smashing player with such intelligent movement / patterns of play pre-injury. The first player I could really see a shift in the calibre of player we were now able to sign. Then it was so sad to see him come back after the injury and look completely unrecognisable, obviously a lot went on and changed in between. To a much lesser extent as still a club legend; Kevin Gallen. Would he have kicked on and played for Liverpool, Man Utd, England had it not been for Fratton Park? Hard to know, but guess he wouldn’t be the legend he is at QPR as doubt he would have been playing 3rd tier football at 26/27. Ended up being part / captain of a team that gave so many of us such happy years supporting the club. |
