Not really my cup of tea but saw them in about 78/79 as a mate had a spare ticket, great night out and I smelt things I’d never smelt before as a 17/18 year old! [Post edited 22 Jul 20:30]

That’s just awful, happened to my father in law to be, died at 47, my wife, then girlfriend, was with him at the time, she was 19.
Collapsed in the doctors waiting room, died in the hospital later, massive heart attack.
40 years later it still affects her. |

What a lovely tribute and commiserations to you Westberks he sounds like a top, top man.
I lost my dad 16 years ago next week and he too got me into the R’s in the early 70’s and had a ST in F Block until he got too ill to go.

I used to work with a bloke who played off 2, he entered the qualifiers every year as, in his words, for a small fee you get to play on some top courses that you either couldn’t normally afford or if you could, be allowed to play on!!
I don’t watch it as I haven’t got Sky but still follow it. |

Remember him scoring a last second winner against Cardiff when they’d been down to 10 men for what seemed an eternity, header if I recall.
I liked him, never outstanding but never too poor either, gave his all no matter what, a true pro and we were lucky to have him and needed a true pro like him at that stage. |

I’m really jealous, love Perpignan and the surrounding area.
Looked at trying to get out there for a few days, use to be able to fly direct to Perpignan from Southampton but not since the demise of FlyBe! |
