Manchester based with no skin in the game, but played vets football for past 8 yrs and absolutely loved it. Fully recommend to anyone in two minds about giving it a go/feels too old etc.
hopefully it cracks on in whatever guise.

CONTRARY to FIRM BELIEF
at 22:17 30 Aug 2025

Hold on - he had a good game today and I like him.

But you’re not saying overall he’s been good? Or even worse that anyone who thinks - overall - he hasn’t been good is uneducated 😂😂

Hopefully I’ve misunderstood ….

CONTRARY to FIRM BELIEF

Won 3 headers I saw - maybe more. Ran a man off the ball playing full back. Very nearly tackles someone. Lot of progressive passing, pass of the game to Smyth.

As a midfielder in a two he wasn’t always where he should have been and Varanne at times did two men’s jobs.

But much much better and far better than I expected before the game.

Can he play in a 2 away from home against a good team. I don’t think so,
but hope he proves me wrong.

Good game today and deserves plaudits - well done to the QPR superstore - maybe when you’re done motivating you could send out my order, only been 30 days!

He’s had surgery. He won’t have made that up. Scans etc. if he hadn’t had injury problems he’d never have ended up here. Fit, firing he’s class. Probably mid prem class. Never understood - as frustrating as it is - why anyone would give (genuinely) injury prone players a hard time. It’s shit being injured, he’ll want to play football. Hopefully comes back strong and post surgery has a decent run of it.

I’ve bought not for 1st time to try and watch in holiday - it’s giving me access to Sky plus, but only the West Brom game. Anyway I can get our game? Watching on iPad - any help gratefully received!

Edit - sorted had to loom the game up and popped up then

What have learned ?
at 21:24 2 Aug 2025

We’ve lost our best defender in Edward’s, contrived to promote our 2cnd best goalie, downgraded an OK left back and lost Colback’s bite. Our strikers don’t strike. Meanwhile we’ve bought in players who’ve all shown flashes, but may take some time to bed in. Tactically there’s not much to hang on to, so far so bleak. But who knows?! Preston are as a good a team to start off with, if we beat them maybe that starts a bit of a run.

QPR Trust announce Nick De Marco as new trustee

Remember some pretty heated conversations in the Green back then! He was 100% divisive and for a period on the wrong side of rangers history. That said overall think he’s a good egg and like others have said has done a lot for the club. Good appointment.

Got one through work scheme couple of weeks ago for my wife. So far so good! I’ve driven it and really like it. Smooth and powerful. Will definitely be looking electric for my next car.

Varane being sold?
at 08:53 4 Jun 2025

Like most people think if we get close to 5 mill cash should sell.
It’s just all a bit underwhelming as a supporter. Took my 5 yr old for first time last season to 10 or so games. Who are this favourite players. Jimmy, probably off, Edwards, definitely off. Saito, probably off and Varane. To be fair he likes Nardi and he seems to be staying! Who knows who we’ll bring in, but the lot going will take some replacing!

Has to report into manager/head coach. Any other reporting line for that job would be nuts.

Just listening to an interview he gave on a QPR podcast a couple of weeks ago. He said last season he was carrying an injury and couldn't get going.
Once season finished he rested up for 10 days and spent rest of summer training every day to get as fit/sharp as possible - and show what he was about. Came across really well and would imagine would be a brilliant player to have in the dressing room, a total 100%er and brilliant role model for some of the younger ones.

Dunne off?
at 07:47 4 Feb 2025

If we’ve blocked a much better paid, long term contract it’s not going to be easy. IMO we give him the longer term commitment he’s supposedly been holding out for. Either way if he starts tonight a rousing reception won’t do any harm.

Ashby.

Not his day by today, but he’s been much better recently. Not first choice, but at champ level when Dunne needs to play in the middle he’s OK. Pile on is overkill, he works hard, hasn’t given it billy big bollocks. He just had a bad game against a better team - and not the only on!

Jimmy Dunne - undroppable
at 13:13 2 Sep 2024

As much as I’d hate to see Dunne dropped, not playing loan players is a risky one. We’ve got a great relationship with Newcastle for example which will have helped us get this landed and also Hayden last year. Who could turn out to be the first of many. If we don’t give Ashby a fair go risk them turning the tap off.

Likewise other prem teams will usually favour loaning to teams who play their budding starlets or shop windows their driftwood.

Depends on the kid and the game I’d say. Took daughter at 4 ,who’s never liked football, to 1st win away at Forest - she had a ball and loved the atmosphere. Flip side 4 year old football mad boy was bored to tears at Brighton pre-season!
