I wonder how many we are taking up there tomorrow? We took just over 500 last season, but that was an early kick off at 12.30pm (Sky+). No organised coaches by the club will have an impact too. There is pay on the day for away fans.
Thatβs what the Yank on X was boasting about. Wrexham are now the supplier for talent for Wales because they signed 32 year English man Kieffer Moore, who happens to play for Wales. He is saying we now need to up our game on suppling Welsh Internationals? π³π
I tried my best to be positive and to think it was nice for their loyal fans to have this success. And it is nice for them to have success after years of troubles. It will be good for them when the new stand is build to have a 4 sided proper football ground. However, the plastic morons they now have following them are horrendous.
The fact that they now have a ballot for match tickets for all the members no matter if they joined today compared to the ones who have been members for years and been through thick and thin, but didnβt have a season because they were tied up or couldnβt afford it etc. Therefore enabling the plastic Supporters from around the world to have tickets, ahead of local is pathetic. They are restricted for numbers this season, but they are supposed to be this community spirited club.
And donβt get me started on their Pumas Argentinian Third kit because they have somehow decided that there is a link between them and the settlers from Wales who went to live in Patagonia. Even though they were originally from south Wales and a few from mid Wales. They are now tapping into the Argentinian market. The Yanks are brilliant business men/women there to make money! SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!
I lost my rag with the stupid thick yank. I put him straight on Wales and the players we have supplied. In his Bio it says heβs got a Welsh background in the distant past. Yea probably some tenuous link to a relative he found when he started following the Disney FC.
Thereβs talk on the internet that there was football related trouble in Derry last night and it involved some Wrexham fans? The only connection I can think of between Wrexham and Derry is James McClean. I was thinking some of them might follow Wrexham because James plays for them. But in truth I have no idea.
An extremely tin pot ground too. They rose so quickly their infrastructure is abysmal. Their 3 sided ground is the smallest in the Championship. The away end is crap too. Obstructed views from the back of the stand, small concourse and no beer.
We went to Exeter in the 1998/99 season and we were 4-0 down at half-time, so we left and managed to reach the Severn Bridge as the match was finishing. We then went on to beat West Ham 1-0 in the 3rd Round replay.
The maximum Wrexham will allocate in the league will be 1,284. Iβve not heard if they have made that even smaller with them having to remove the temporary stand that held 3,000 home fans. They might have moved the segregation in the away end to accommodate some of those displaced plastic fans. I heard from a Wrexham fan that it will be 1,200 in the corner of the old main stand. Their ground will be 10,500 this season and it is 3 sided. The most anyone got last season was the 1,284.
They will get 1,970 like all the rest. Oxford had more because they were still fighting to survive when the tickets originally went on sale. They received 2,617. That would be the max we would give anyone for a League Match. The demand to see Wrexham get stuffed will mean they just get the 1,970.
Very sad to hear that a massive Jack Huw Williams has passed away. There is a go fund me page set up to help his family pay for the unexpected funeral.
