You can recreate the “It’s s*ite being Scottish!” scene in Trainspotting too.

My mate used to go to the same church as Bryan Moseley, who as Cliff Brumby was chucked off a multi-storey car park by Carter, before he went on to play Alf Roberts in Coronation Street.

Moseley was a devout Catholic who wasn't sure about accepting the role due to the sex and violence in the film. He took the script to his priest who argued that it was a morality tale with Carter as the hero, and Moseley accepted the role.

Out of all the heartwarming posts on this thread, this is my favourite. Thank you.

Thank toy everyone who has contributed and offered to scan pictures in from programmes. This is definitely the football family at its best.

Keep an eye out for us. We won an FA Trophy preliminary round tie 3-0 yesterday. Earlier this season, we won an FA Cup extra preliminary game 6-0, which means we are surely the only club to have won an extra preliminary round game and an FA Cup final by the same scoreline.

Ah, that was the Mickey Walsh who scored the goal of the season for Blackpool - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mickey_Walsh

Our former manager Mike Walsh played for Bolton, Everton and also Blackpool - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Walsh_(footballer)

Charlton, away, 2017. Drunk as a lord and my throw didn't reach the Bury keeper. Mortified.

Doesn't get any easier to watch, does it?

I have a lot of time for Walshy. He laid a lot of the groundwork for the squad that got us into the second tier. What did he say in his reply?

Thank you. I was hoping someone might have some scans for this more 'personal' project. I had to go to Getty for the cover image of my second book which ended up costing me more than £500.

I regularly drink with the lad who scored our winner against Rangers in the 87/88 League Cup third round. Sorry lads.

I don’t however drink with the other lad who nearly ended Andy Sinton’s career in 1992.

Yes, it was apparently in the strength of that game that Frank Sibley signed him.

I'm actually doing this for Brian and need the stills for the title cards between each club/selection of former teammate memories. I've got Don Shanks, Peter Eastoe and Phil Parkes from Rangers and from other clubs have got Chris Kamara, Gary Mabbutt and lots more lower league legends. It promises to be great.

That's quite the top five he's on there.

I've written a book about Bury's 1984/85 team in which Leighton James played his solitary season at Bury and I interviewed him for it. He was still as sharp as a tack and remembered everything. His death was upsetting.

I also used to drink in the Manchester pub of which Stan Bowles' sister was the landlady. I used to interview former players for the programme and she gave me his number so we could talk about his five whole games for the club. The next time we were at Brentford, I met him in one of the four pubs.

Thanks Bosh. Before I started this thread, that was the only image I was able to find.

I'll have a look at the FB group too, thanks. I thought there may be someone like my mate Pete who supports Bury; he's not employed by the club but he has thousands and thousands of pictures on his computer.

Thanks. I know his time in west London was brief and I've even seen some pretty nasty stuff about his time there in some online articles, but he's a top man and I'm very proud of the career he had.

I was at Loftus Road on the last day of 1997/98 by the way. Quite a drive back up the M6 as we stayed up and City went down that day.

Hi everyone, Bury fan in peace.

My uncle, Brian Williams, played for Rangers in the 70s after signing from Bury. It's his 70th this year and I'm collecting images of him throughout his career with us, you, Swindon, both Bristol teams and Shrewsbury.

Is there a Rangers fan, like I know there are Bury fans, who has a vast archive of pictures that might include some of him that I could use?

Any help in pointing me in the right direction of someone would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
