We've been around this block a few times re Cifuentes and if we assume he was already looking elsewhere, the question is why? OK, he's always moved on quickly, but that was before he reached the much more prestigious level of Championship manager where managers are far, far more likely to be sacked than move on voluntarily. More likely the relationship with Nourry had already broken down and when you fall out with your boss, no matter the rights or wrongs, you're going to be the one leaving. |

No doubt, just like there was no way we could afford Saito. Someone is definitely campaigning against Kolli though given the amount of shit that's been thrown his way. |

I think Ipswich will win it and the bookies seem to agree, or do they - they're shortest odds for promotion but second favourites to win it. Figure that out. Probably an arbitrage opportunity for someone smarter than I am. [Post edited 7 Oct 16:02]

I dunno, I think the only sort of girl he looks like is one named Lola. |

What exactly is a yard of pace? It needs to be qualified otherwise it makes as much sense as a pint of gravity. |

Graham went on to have six seasons in the PL, although you'd probably say only the first was fruitful. Warnock wanted him and I think he was probably right although of course as you intimate, we will never know. None of this is to take anything away from Helguson, who did a fantastic job for us. |

'Using estimates from Capology'. ie, however plausible it may seem, it's made up. Published club accounts are necessarily historic. |

I think Danny Graham would have been better in that team than Helguson. Scored 24 goals that season for a team that finished 14th (and scored more goals than we did). Looking at the stats now you'd have to say it was our defence that won us the title as much as Adel and his heroics - six teams scored more but our goals conceded was the lowest by far (-10 over Swansea and an incredible 26 fewer than Norwich). |

4. Preston 5. Stoke 6. QPR There's been some sort of major space time continuum event , hasn't there? The three ones that should precede those numbers have been engulfed by a black hole. |

The essential problem is that managing a team in a two horse league where you always come second and your European campaign unfailingly ends early and where expectation is always beyond reality, is not really a serious job. |

Rumours of Cook's demise appear to have been somewhat exaggerated. |

Just think of it this way: until all 46 rounds have been played, it's just 6th place. |

Why? What would have been the advantage of staying at a similarly ranked club in the same division on a less advantageous contract? What greater opportunities would he have had? |

Started the move and then finished it cosplaying Matt Smith. Total footballer. |
