I think that Dibling and Fernandes will be sold as well as the 3 others out in the cold - Aribo, Smallbone and Edozie, however this will leave us with only 5 traditional midfielders. These sales should net us about £120m, so you would hope SR would invest some of this back in the squad in the form of Krasnodar, Rudoni and Fellows if the rumours are true. However given that there is just over 2 weeks of the transfer window left you would think this squad overhaul is far too late, plus SR tend to lowball for potential transfer targets, we lose out on our first choices then panic buy on the final day. I think the start of the season could be very difficult for Will Still, but if we could clear out our bloated and average midfield with some decent quality, then it could be a great season for the Saints. |

We still have 8 traditional centre backs in the team so with ABK, Beders and THB not included and offering the greatest sales value, can we assume they are not in Still’s plans? Also Bree and Taylor can cover in there if required. Plus although just paper talk we were linked with another young CB - Xavier Mbuyamba, although he would be low risk and one for the future. |

We do need experience for the youngsters to look up to, although I am not sure that Jack Stephen’s can provide this. His 2 red cards last season doesn’t exactly strike me as captain material, I personally would like Edwards given the armband. Also last season he was one of our top earners on £45k per week so I hopefully the new contract is significantly less than this otherwise I think that SR have once again completely lost the plot. |

He has been removed from the team on the official website. I think the way it has handled by Trabzonspor, Tall Paul and possibly his agent by refusing to go anywhere else has probably put some noses out of joint. I hope that we can find another club that wants to take Bedarek as dealing with this clown show is a nightmare. Slightly worried it is preseason already and the “jewels” we wanted/needed to sell seem to be no nearer to leaving the club, we essentially still have the same group of moral drained players from the last disastrous campaign. We need to urgently clear the decks plus recruit to give Still the time and opportunity to install his game style and philosophy on his players. |
